I'm convinced 99% of the people on Instagram and Twitter are full blown nutters. If they're not hating on people, they're talking to them as if they know them or even worse getting their knickers in a knot when they're not acknowledged for some supposed life-changing thing the rabid fan did for their beloved. Going to someone's account and giving them relationship advice when 1. they never asked for it and 2. you don't know them from a hole in the ground is lunacy to me. May as well go tell Tony Abbott what colour undies to wear tomorrow as you have a better chance of that coming true than some reality show person listening to the unasked for advice they get on their life from a random, regardless of the topic. The sad part is those people don't even realise they look like fools and their beloved is most likely laughing their ass off at them. Insanity.
 
In the spirit of the season's goodwill, it's nice to see a number of HM's supporting charities and causes. I have also been struck by the fact that there have been lovely twitter moments too. Ben received thanks for replying to her from a woman in hospital receiving chemo for lung cancer. Drew received an ebullient reply from an 18 year old quad who was interested in Pokemon and Tully replies regularly and sensibly to those who seem genuinely depressed or who have a family member suffering from Alzheimer's. They're little things, but I sometimes forget what a difference they might make to the recipient of the kind words.
 
I'm getting pretty f'd off I don't have this hat yet. Santa better bring it for me although since I've now forgotten where it's from, I won't be surprised if he has too.

To me that's the scary thing about that comment, that it is so measured and unemotional. Like they logically think that's an appropriate thing to say to someone and genuinely suggest in order or fuel some kind of personal fanfiction. At least with the crazies who get so worked up with anger you can disregard whatever they say as anger-fueld crazed rantings.

My personal favourite (until this newest one I just found) is a chick who's been stalking Jade and Ed's pics and having a go at them for not carrying out their relationship the way she obviously wants them to lol. She had a massive go at Jade for not liking Ed's pics recently (Jade then quickly liked the next two things Ed posted LOL), and then had a go at Ed for "letting Nick fill his head with shit about Jade and ruining their relationship". She then told them both that in order for the relationship to survive they have to move to Qld.

Crazy.
 
Good girl Tully! Exactly what I did last night and this is now the first year since I've been maybe 8 that not only is all my shopping done but it's also all wrapped. No Xmas Eve spent in the mall this year and then wrapping gifts at 3am! It's a flipping Christmas miracle!!

See, that shit's just absolutely cray cray. We could refute every single sentence you just posted with a detailed explanation as to why it's insane and yet someone like that still wouldn't understand. Makes you wonder how many of those people have been in a real relationship before (and no, the ones they've conjured in their heads with a stranger don't count). A normal person wouldn't take too kindly if say a neighbour they only see twice a year and smile at suddenly accosted them at Coles and started spouting relationship advice. And yet that's what these loons are doing on almost every pic these guys are posting even when the pic has nothing to do with relationship stuff at all. It's one thing to discuss it here as the HMs who lurk here are actively seeking this crap out but to go to a total stranger's account and say it? Do they honestly think a HM is going to listen to them or even owes them an acknowledgement? I just don't get that at all.

I've decided it's because they believe they are entitled to an opinion regardless of the stupidity attached to it.

'I say what I want' stance that most people are exceptionally overusing. Sitting behind the screen really makes the brave come out :p

I thought the look on Ben's face was almost one of distaste - pretty rude.

Must say, despite their lack of closeness, I loved that both Tahan and Jade were able to think of of something they know the other would genuinely like (humorous that it was the same thing)

everyone who's met/worked with tahan has said nothing but nice things about her, im glad she's proving the "mean girl" image wrong. All the housemates seem to be really down to earth now that they're out of the house which is great to see :)

I'm so glad [MENTION=34950]crimmy[/MENTION] and now you have mentioned it because that was the first thing I took away from the video yesterday... but as I've made it clear I'm completely off Ben now, I thought maybe I was just being harsh and was sure that people would just think I was nitpicking so I didn't say anything. And I laughed my ass off about Jade and Tahan saying they'd buy the same thing for each other. I'm still convinced that if they had met under different circumstances or at least other people hadn't been involved that they would've made good friends for each other.

[MENTION=36462]Layla[/MENTION] I really love that about this year's HMs too and I admit I'm a bit surprised as I didn't see that coming. For some reason with Tully, Tahan, Ed and even my darling Tim in particular. But although we've now seen thousands of pics and comments to/about all of the HMs, not one person has said anything negative about that aspect. I think that's where reality stars today might have an advantage over ones from years past... they have the added pressure of social media now but they've also had the chance to see that every year regardless of the show, your window of 'fame' closes quite quickly so there's no point letting it go to your head. If you're not forgotten about in a month or two, then you most likely will be when the next season starts.

Although I couldn't stand Heidi in the house - not even one teeny quality about her - I think it's hard for me to make that call because we never really got the chance to see her as the balance of power in the house shifted. She went out too early for me to decide if she ever would've become humble as she realised her group was being pegged off one by one. Mikkayla however was just horrid and that's coming from someone who was a big fan of hers at the start. To me, for all the positive effects the sisters had on the group, Mikkayla had negative ones multiplied by 10. I think that's why every time I see her and Jade being all lovey dovey I just can't forget the things Mikkayla said about her in the house and especially the bracelet incident. There are just so many examples of shitty things that she said to and about people that she really was the worst one for me.
