He's not new to Twitter. He had the Ben_Zabel account and used it for a couple of years before BB. Even has 563 Tweets on it - including the ones where he was making fun of guys who contacted him on Grindr - although it's locked now and his bio says to follow the benfrombrisbane account instead. He is new to twitter, I think. So he may not have have the same idea as most as to how twitter is viewed perhaps. So I think he may be a little socially awkward with its use. But like you said, it's also bens nature to be thankful and gracious. He was all about manners in the house don't forget. I still think of when he was in the spa and he was complaining about something Matt had said. Ben was saying how he always says thank you and is the first to say hello, oh it was hilarious to me lol. I remember your old avatar with Ben and Tim. You were one of the people I agreed with in regards to Ben. I also was upset with how Ben was perceived by many, and the night he was evicted, I was so glad that I saw others on hear supporting him. Again, you were one of them. I don't expect there to be a load of supporters, but all it takes is a few to remind some posters of what a contestant contributed to this experience.
Never doubt yourself either, no one knows you better than yourself![]()
That is the funniest thing, because I had intended doing the exact same thing you did today, where you listed the Housemates and then thought of something positive to say about each one of them. The only reason I haven't done it was lack of time. I know how much time it takes, that's why I was really impressed with what you did. And you listed the Housemates in Alphabetical Order ha ha ha. And I know exactly what your talking about with Mikkayla. I wanted to give her a big hug and tell her that she's beautiful just as she is. I remember seeing her in the Diary Room one time, and her eyes looked extra lovely, but I didn't know at first why. Then I realised she had no eye make up on, and her eyes look even better WITHOUT eye makup.
And I loved the clip of her in bed when she was trying to sleep and Mr Clooney was pulling the doona off her ha ha ha, and OMG when she got evicted, well BB must've let Mr Clooney out to say goodbye. As soon as Mikkayla saw him ....I started crying and I couldn't stop.Even if you've had a pet you've been in charge of for many weeks you still bond with them, and if that was me, they would've had to drag me out, or I would've been in the Diary Room saying, "Can I please have Mr Clooney to take home with me?" ha ha ha. I think she already had 2 dogs.
But I struggle to leave my pet to go to work, because he gets upset every time I'm about to leave, and sits at the window waiting for me to come home. When I get home there are days that I can't keep playing with him for hours (he is a cat, not a dog) so I bought a little remote control car, and when I first get home and I'm tired and I want to sit down for an hour, I hold the little control thing in my hand, and I can get the little car to race up and down my kitchen and loungeroom, plus it goes forwards and backyards and it can turn around, so I don't have to get up, and he is thoroughly entertained and exhausted lol. But I still play with him and his toys, but I'm talking about when I first get home.
And bloody mongrels are picking at Tully on Twitter for selling some clothes. Maybe these same people would like to go and pay Tully's Rent or House Payments. It's incredibly dear to live where she is, and I've seen her home in photos on here that people have got from her Instagram or where ever, and it would be so expensive. I saw Drew sitting in her courtyard. It looks really nice and I'm sure I saw Yukka Plants. I know them because I've got them in my yard.
I completely forgot about one really exciting thing I saw in this Thread and I forgot to comment on it. Congratulations are in order for a certain someone.I'm going back to find the quote.
I'd never heard of a Japanese Spitz until you mentioned it and now that I've seen pics...OMG I WANT ONE!!!! How cute are they?!Mr clooney loved mikkayla just as much as she loved him. I have never owned a pet before, so I don't know what it entails, but I thought she did a great job of looking after it and showing love. She was extremely patient with him too, so that soon a scene is pretty funny lol. You could say that mr clooney was just as persistent as her at that moment lol, if not more so. She did well with him. I think it's wonderful to have a pet to and want my kids to grow up with one, so I have been looking at different dogs to get. So far everyone is telling is to get a Japanese spitz. They are beautiful dogs, but a little expensive too. I like the Labradors after watching Marley and me. Time will tell what happens.
I think people need to move on from the tully business. They don't know her in real life and they need to get a life like some have suggested on here. Just annoying to see this stuff, especially from grown ups. Does my head in.
I loved that. The scene that possibly touched me most was when Ben came back as the elf. The look on his face when he was hugging Drew good-bye was really poignant. Ben's face is an open book, and i must admit that all I could think was that I hoped he could find a gay man to love like that who would love him back. (Yes, I am a closet romantic…my secret is well and truly out.)
Oh, I didn't know! Actually, I think it may have been mentioned before- I think it was for Facebook though. I don't truly know what Ben was really like and There was definitely a little strange in some of his actions that I think he would not normally do in real life. The talking to his pictures was obviously a ploy to communicate, but I guess I just look at this as everyone knowing it's a game and why I forgave Ben for it. He provided me with so much entertainment this year in the other things he did and he did display a lot of genuine reactions to the happenings of the house that at the end of it, for me that's all that matters. But I guess I think there is an element of Ben which showed him being unhappy and insecure, I can't help it, I want to see him succeed. But I can see why many don't trust him and see him Asa gimmick too, I just don't see it that way I guess. He's not new to Twitter. If he didn't bs about such stupid things I'd probably have more tolerance for him now as he did make me laugh a few times in the house but I just don't have the patience for him anymore. I can understand why others do though.

I had a Lab - also thanks to Marley and Me haha - and she was a wonderful friend. Very active and shed like a mofo but a really loving, gentle soul unless she thought I was in trouble. Just a perfect dog really.
Given their appalling taste in clothes, I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that they have no presentation skills.I love sweets, but just looking at that makes my teeth hurt.
Absolutely incorrect and it's why when a magazine or newspaper is sued in Australia, it's up to them to prove that what they said about someone is true and not up to the person doing the suing. If Tahan and David went after Leesa, either she needs to provide proof that what she said is correct or she loses the case. They don't have to prove that it's not.
"Australia’s defamation laws are heavily biased towards plaintiffs. This has a dire effect on freedom of expression in Australia. Perhaps the most eloquent denunciation of Australia’s defamation laws can be found in Justice Deane’s minority judgment in Theophanous v Herald & Weekly Times Ltd. He notes that that the law makes it easy for the plaintiff to succeed. As Deane J explained, ‘a person who publishes an assertion of fact or a comment which injures (or is “likely” to injure) the reputation of another person is guilty of a tort and liable in damages unless he or she can positively justify or excuse the publication in the particular circumstances of the case.’ Thus, ‘a plaintiff may succeed notwithstanding that he or she calls no evidence to establish either that the defamatory statement was false or that the defendant was motivated by malice or was guilty of negligence or some other fault.’ The High Court has recently affirmed that to be defamatory, the ‘general test’ is ‘whether the published matter is likely to lead an ordinary reasonable person to think the less of a plaintiff’."

Ben, like Tim was one of the show's narrators. Both of them used very deliberate methods to comment on the action. Tim's were just as contrived as Ben's although often more entertaining. Some like Tim's chat after Mr Chuckles were easily as embarrassing as anything Ben ever did.Oh, I didn't know! Actually, I think it may have been mentioned before- I think it was for Facebook though. It's all ver once you see these dogs apparently lol. My sister in law has one and it really is the cutest thing. They are also very friendly to kids and apparently their fur self cleans or something like that, only need to wash them twice a year I heard.
But yes, Marley and me, has suckered me in, that any other dog doesn't do it for me. But now that you mentioned the shedding- yeah not so sure lol. It redeems itself with the gentle soul part

I agree with this, I think that the difference was that Tims intentions were known by all. He made it known he was playing and led that from day one. Not speaking on my behalf, but why I think Tim was preferred by manyBen, like Tim was one of the show's narrators. Both of them used very deliberate methods to comment on the action. Yeah I want to see Ben succeed too. I actually want all of the HMs to whether they're one of my favourites or not. I think it takes a massive amount of courage to go on BB and open yourself up to the scrutiny and judgement of armchair critics so anything positive they get from that experience I think they deserve it 100%. And I guess that's why although I'm not one of them, I can see why some people adore him as normally I would too.Oh, I didn't know! Yeah, that's true. And for those reasons you stated, I hope they all do succeed in some way. Even ed lol.Yeah I want to see Ben succeed too. As for labs, yeah they definitely shed. I still find random hairs occasionally and I've moved house and all of our clothes have been washed and dry cleaned repeatedly in the 3 years since we last had her. I actually Googled "labrador + shedding" after my first comment to you to see if maybe I just ended up with a freak shedder. The second result was a list of 10 Reasons Not To Own a Lab and both #1 and #10 on the list are about how much they shed LOL
haha trust me, it's just a total fluke that some of the things we talk about in here I've either dealt with through work or have encountered in life some other way. If we were to discuss things involving science or even something as simple as how a battery works (not simple to me!) I wouldn't have a clue. For some reason my brain has never grasped any of that stuff at all.Seriously, how the eff do you know so much? Your so knowledgable in almost every topic, it's quite impressive
