Ok, I'm going to go against the grain here and I realise I'm risking getting flogged for this but I really don't like her new hair at all. I didn't really care too much for the platinum look as it was just too much but this is like they've used the wrong shade of blonde for her. The tone or something is off because now she just looks washed out to me. Like too beige. And in that pic I just posted all I could think of was the sugar sisters and how that looks almost identical to their hair and then I saw someone in the other thread mention they think this was the same salon the girls went to last week so maybe that explains it but I'm not digging it at all.

I don't buy it either. Actually it became a backlash for tahan if anything. There was a conspiracy about her bf voting way more than others, her bf being connected to bb in some way etc. it did not do tahan any favours really. If anything it's a reason for voters to be turned off and vote for someone else out of spite

I'm not quite sure how I feel SG so it's just an interesting discussion for me too. That said, (and PLEASE Tim fans don't read this as a criticism), an awareness of media values, camera placements, story arcs and a whole raft of other things may be useful to someone who's smart to begin with. Matt, Ed and Caleb were incredibly unsay for instance. Tully knew eventually what would push people to throw her out of the liferaft. Then there are some, like Heidi, who know the ropes, but still overplay their hand, so who knows? But it is a fascinating discussion and far better than the grading of papers….Will I ever see daylight?

It looks the same colour in this pic- it's still platinum. The other photo was leaning to a softer blonde- maybe it was the lighting that gave that impression.

yeah, looks the same as it was before, maybe a smidge on the darker side. I would have preferred it softer tbh. I still don't like the cut and extensions though. Nope, looked better before.

Come back, I need to hide behind you! She always looks beautiful, but I'm not crazy about the shade against her skin tone, and the extensions look heavy to me. Maybe the colour at least will settle a bit after a wash or two?
I actually agree with you that they might have inside knowledge in how to make the show more interesting. I just can't for the life of me see how that is a bad thing? Even if the viewer is being 'played' who cares if you are enjoying it?
Tim worked his way into the big storylines, kept himself interesting and relevant, I know that. But I think that a big part of the reason why he was successful is that he is interesting himself. Like you say. Heidi knew the ropes but came across unlikeable regardless.
You don't HAVE to have prior media knowledge to be interesting (Chrissie Swan, Reggie Bird etc.)
I just think it's pretty irrelevant if they have celeb connections. It should not be a consideration in favour or against them. It's all about how interesting they are.
I can't really tell at the moment because to me it looks completely different in both of the pics posted. I think it's the weird lighting of the salon. In the first one it looks a lot darker but I think that's the lighting (you can tell it's dim all around), but in the one you posted it looks like the same colour she entered the house with to me (before Mikk put the bad bleach on it). I agree it's styled the same was as the Sugar Sisters but that's just probably the way they blow it out if it's the same salon. I doubt it'll stay that way. Everyone's hair looks brilliant and full of volume when they've left the salon. I doubt it'll stay that way.
Yeah maybe the colour will settle. I hope so at least. I just saw [MENTION=31088]Insomniac[/MENTION] say in the other thread "too much gold, she suits ash tones better in my opinion . And the extensions are a different colour, they didn't match them properly" and I think she's spot on about all of it. She still looks beautiful obviously as she would even if she were bald but the colour and extensions are just off to me.

You made an interesting point in terms of a hms usefulness. Reading your post it just occurred to me how the show could benefit from a contestant in some way. It's not necessarily going to work in their favour though. I think this was proven through bens early eviction.
Thinking about it- I don't know why- it still doesn't bother me , even though I gained an insight to how a show finds benefits from their contestants.
And no, yiu won't see daylight until next school holidays lol

This is exactly what I was thinking too. It makes her look, for want of a better word, average. She doesn't really stand out like she did before. Wasn't a fan of the platinum either, but you noticed her.

Agree about the lighting - I'm reserving judgement until I can see a pic of her in daylight, and at least they didn't give her the spiral curls through the length that they gave the sisters. I'm not sure from those photos whether she got extensions or not as her hair was pretty long, but flat - I always come out of the hairdressers looking like I have way more hair than I actually have despite having had at least 3/4 inch cut off
in the first shot i thought it looked more honey than platinum blonde but realise now it might have been the lighting in the salon that did that ...
as for looking washed out ... maybe like some of the others she's loosing the BBHouse tan ... they aren't able to spend a large part of the day now tending to the tan lol
I'm not a fan of the SS so when I hear extensions ... and then see the styling done similarly ... it gives me the heebie jeebies
