As a lurker and sometime contributor, Mr/Mrs/Ms Moderator, it's time to shut these fora down, same old same old, nag nag nag he says she says....zzzz... Boring!
I could honestly never do it. Even just for hygienic reasons or because I'd be worried about stepping on gum or something worse. But yeah, you can't cruise into in a grocery store without your shoes or a shirt on. A lot of places have a sign at the door but in nicer areas it's just understood that unless you're properly dressed you don't go in regardless of what kind of establishment it is. Even in beach communities... actually that's where the whole policy started way back when. Just a different culture I guess.
I'm not sure she'd hold his interest for long unfortunately ... I think he was genuinely struck by Boog's personality & energy at first so needs someone who is a little more self-confident than Jade ...
Nah people trash Tim all the time - certain people in particular do it relentlessly - and I very rarely say anything unless it's something that's a blatant lie. I just scroll past their opinions as I do with some of the things said about other HMs that I don't agree with. Everyone should feel free to comment positively or negatively about any of the HMs but with that they should also be willing to accept that not everyone's going to agree with them or think the sun shines out of any of the HMs asses. My point was that no matter how I try to ensure no one can take what I'm saying as a personal attack on Jade's honour or misconstrue what I'm saying, there's always still someone who does so I'm just past the point of trying. It wasn't directed at you at all and really it isn't a big deal as to be frank, I'm not interested in that showmance anyway. I was just letting Sweet_Geek know the strategy I've decided to use to not somehow piss off Jade fans and more importantly make my time in here more enjoyable. If the conversation hadn't started, I would've just went continued happily on my merry way.![]()
He might be saving himself for after the movie. I mean he likes to plan ahead![]()
HA!! Right?! Unfortunately that's what concealed weapon permits are for. Freaked me out when I was home earlier this year and as we were waiting to be seated for dinner, a guy walked past with a damn gun tucked in his belt, under a blazer. It took me a moment to realise where I was and that he was allowed to do that. That's one thing I don't miss at all.i would have thought in the states it would be a blessing to have less clothes on so you can see if they're packing heat....can't hide a shot gun in a pair of thongs and stubbies haha
Seeing as it's a slow night here: what freaked me out after the Sandy Hook tragedy was that people were suggesting teachers should carry weapons. I can't begin to say what an appalling suggestion I thought that was.HA!! Right?! Unfortunately that's what concealed weapon permits are for. I felt you were being unnecessarily bitchy about it, yes, and I commented on it. Yes I can be snarky lol
But I also read your next comment about it and said l understood, so.... (in case you missed it)![]()
Nah I think it was good that you said something. I for one am selfishly happy to hear that I wasn't the only one who felt they had to watch every single word they said about Jade for fear of pissing someone off unintentionally. In an ideal world it shouldn't be that way... at least not in this thread as it isn't an appreciation thread by any means. All of us like different HMs in here and are interested in different ones. No one should be off limits. I've just had enough run ins of fans of two HMs in particular and now that the show isn't even on anymore, I don't see any point in arguing so I'm removing myself from the equation entirely. I've adopted the same policy for Ed because wow did I have a lot to say the past 2 days but again - just not worth the grief hahaWell I wish I hadn't said anything now. Didn't mean to start a fight, I just felt like someone expressed how I felt and when they were aimed at I felt like I couldn't say or think those things, so expressed it. Maybe wasn't a smart idea. Oh well live and learn

I agree she is in love with the fairy tail idea of marrying Prince Charming and somehow her first impression was that was Ed and she is just going after the fairy tale.
I don't know where people get the idea Jade is more relaxed with Tim?
He always wanted to change her and she would be too uncomfortable with him constantly breaking the rules and constantly changing it up all the time
I saw them maintaining a certain politeness with each other tbh
I definitely liked Boog for Tim - his tone and everything changed around her - it was nice to see him focus on her rather than himself for once lol
Sorry LB. I must admit, I used to think that, but in recent times, and given the fact that the NRA have made successive governments their bitch, it's an area where I am sceptical about your assessment that it's 'most Americans'. But it's you my friend, so I'm going to try to believe youI just hope people understand that most Americans with half a brain agree.
(Sorry--the painting of all of us with the same gun-nut brush is something I'm really touchy about, as a transplant.)
Ummm, maybe not the picnic tonight, it is some bad weather up that way I believe, really bad....like thunderstorms hail etc.
Yeah I can imagine how that would seem extreme to an Aussie as I'm pretty sure you don't have metal detectors or armed security guards in schools here, right? (My son hasn't started primary school here yet so I could be wrong about this.) I don't agree with teachers carrying guns - and hate the gun policy in the US 100% - but that step for them wouldn't be the massive leap that it would be here because many schools already had those elements in place. Even some primary schools had armed guards before Sandy Hook with many more installing them - or even full on police officers on campus - after that tragedy. So I can see how some would think arming the teachers as well would be the next logical step although to me it's just asking for trouble.Seeing as it's a slow night here: what freaked me out after the Sandy Hook tragedy was that people were suggesting teachers should carry weapons. Couldn't agree more Lisa. Have to laugh though…I think Drew's earning potential is likely much greater than Ed's, although without my crystal ball I'm only speculating.
How I feel too. But now I feel like she also knows how it was perceived by the public so perhaps it's not only es trying to repair his image, but jade wanting ppl to see that she was right in her choice and there is something there. Just my opinion of course.
