This is my current view, take it as you will...
It's clear to me that Jade and Ed are both distancing themselves from the idea of them as a couple. We can speculate forever about who did what to whom, or if this is some part of a secret plan to keep their "relationship" private, but that's all it will be, speculation. I'm a speculator, so I'm sure I won't be able to leave it alone, and I love Jade, so I'm sure my speculation will tend to be more positive towards her.
Ed's continuing to put himself much more out there, appearing to be a single guy without a care in the world. His only partner is his twin, and they seem to be pushing themselves as a package deal, which is a perfectly valid option. Under these conditions, Ed's probably going to cop some flack from people who already were suspicious of his motives and who will question his character. I think Ed is generally a decent guy who will always take the path of least resistance, especially if he has someone stronger who will lead him along. I don't necessarily think the same of his twin, and, just because they are so linked, it's going to happen that negative Nick feelings spill over to Ed. I'll try to be evenhanded in the future, but, let's face it, you are often judged by the company you keep and Ed can't really escape that.
I so want to believe that Jade has realized that Ed isn't Prince Charming and is moving on from him. My suspicion, and I have absolutely NOTHING to back it up other than history, is that she's distancing herself publicly to save face, but is still hoping that Ed will come around, much like how she handled him in the house. If that's the case, I'm pretty sure she's doomed to disappointment, but she'll have to come to that realization in her own time. The great thing about whatever is going on is that she's publicly appearing as an independent entity who is centered on her career and her family and friends, the very strengths that appealed to so many of her fans. If she gives us stuff to get behind, I'm pretty sure all of us in this thread will support her however we can. Since leaving the house, she certainly has done nothing to change my mind that she deserved all of the positive views we had of her. I'm hopeful that soon we'll get a better idea of where her career is going, but in the meanwhile I'll just wait anxiously for whatever news she chooses to give us! And if she continues to give us cute puppy photos as well, then we all win!
. She said the other day she had a lot of phone calls ( which means more offers I guess) so maybe the next photo shoot is fruit of those phone calls.
