Would a gay showmance work/ever happen?

From memory the only times we've ever had two gays in the BB house was 06 when Rob went in as an intruder and this year when Nathan entered just before Ben's eviction. Rob was clearly not chosen to appeal to David and struggled to last long because he was an intruder - and Nathan was already taken (I don't need to comment on his longevity).

Do you think there's a chance we might see gay housemates cast this year who just happen to be gay, instead of ones cast because they fit the token gay role? I feel like this is why we only have one per season, and why the ones chosen are more stereotypical like Benjamin 2012. Not that it's easy to pick people that would appeal to each other, but the producer's claim to have predicted bromances and showmances in their casting in the past - so surely it's not a long shot. The way viewers embraced Ben 2012 and the insight into his relationship via letter and video messages should be a major hint to producer's that a gay showmance would be much better accepted by today' audience than those of 5 years ago. If anything people would warm to it a lot more than the awkward JadEd and Drully - Ben's boyfriend didn't garner all those thousands of twitter supporters spouting adoration for their relationship for no reason.
 
You know what I would personally love to see? I'd love to see the reverse of a Drully situation. A straight girl who enters into a lesbian dalliance whilst in the house and questions her sexuality. I'd like to say whilst in a hetero relationship on the outside but I suppose that would be condoning cheating?

This is probably at odds with what most people would want to see on their screens, but I would find that interesting to watch. Or of course a straight guy discovering he is gay.

NB: I have just been to a very boozy dinner in which copious bottles of champagne were consumed by me, so please disregard the above if it makes me sound bad in any way shape or form.

I would love it! I would love to see two single people who fall for each other hook up, no matter their gender!
 
I think it's pretty unlikely that they'd cast two Mo's that are actually that in to each other that they'd be willing to hook-up...

Precisely. *shaking my head* I don't want to start it again, but I still don't understand why she said she was a lesbian, and even went further to say "I am a lesbian when I am with a girl, I am bi when I am with a guy". Seriously. Why say that? Such a slap in the face to others. "Real" people only apply.

It happens a lot.
Tonight, a best mate confided in me that he's falling for a lesbian and she appears to be into him too.
So now I've coined the phrase 'Doing a Tully'.
 
I am not into showmances of any kind. They seem to detract from the game and spirit of BB. I am not entertained by watching people make out. If I want to see PDA, I will watch something else.

I don't see why it would not make good television. Probably not much difference to a bisexual relationship in this regard.

Did anyone else get lesbian vibes from Estelle and Angie in the first week or so of BB last year? Or was I just looking too hard?

What offended me the most is when she said when she's with guys she's bi and when she's with girls she's a lesbian... I'm pretty sure that makes you bi. I'm bi btw.

Yep, she didn't own it. I would rather housemates who are actually in touch with their sexuality. Real love is real love between whoever it occurs. Real love is not possible if people are not honest with themselves.
