Why does Tahan get more hate than Tim?

I can't stand it when people preface their opinions by "I'm not a feminist" or "I hate feminists but..". You obviously have no idea about feminism.

Rant over, I actually think Tahan's going to win this thing. I'd much prefer Tim to, but I like them both. Yes Tahan is similiar to Tim in gameplay etc but no she has not been anywhere near as entertaining. You can only laugh at bitching for so long.
 
Ummm...Tahan is nothing like Tim. Call Tim whatever you like, but he is not nasty. He can be 'manipulating' the game or playing the game...but they all are, they just aren't as good as him. HE is entertaining and not a sheep. He has made this years show. I personally don't think Tahan is that honest at all. She only 'confronts' the people she saw as weak. She rarely confronted Tim whenever he did something but spoke behind his back to others ( but I guess everyone is guilty of that). I feel Tahan sucks up to Tim most of the time, always going along with what he says. Lastly, the reason why people think she should not win is because she IS a bitch. She picked on peoples looks and weight, she criticized peoples intelligence and treated the sugar sisters like shit when they did nothing to her.

I've tried to see past that with Tahan ever since Mikkayla left, the way she behaved on the trick or treat thing...she sees all the nasty things she did and just laughed through it all and also whenever someone said something nasty about Jade ( that was no laughing matter) she will laugh and pat Drew on the back. Jade apologized for the one 'nasty' thing she said ( taken way too literal) but Tahan just laughed through it all and that is what made me sure I would prefer anyone to win over her.

I don't want this to come across as rude, but I just don't get how everyone assumes jealousy is the reason some women dont like Tahan. I don't doubt there are girls out there that are just straight up jealous, don't get me wrong, but from reading this thread and others it seems most people dislike her based on personality alone, not jealousy over her looks. I personally wouldn't change how I look to look anything like Tahan, even though I can appreciate how pretty she is!
 
Because tahan is a mean girl and should have been evicted long ago. she is nasty has no remorse and people are blinded by her body. Its so funny that when someone is pretty and they have a horrible personality people call those who see past their put on mask jealous.
Its really stupid because it you put tahans personality in someobe like....jaz or heidi they get labeled 'ugly bitch' yet someone like tahan can only pull it off because it comes across as cofindence instead of complete nasty and mean.
She has not changed what so ever and its going to be such a shame to reward someone like her with that much money.

Tim is nothing like tahan. He doesn't crush peoples personalities and bash them. He's intelligent with the way he stirs, not just completely bitter like tahan.

Jade is just as bitchy as Tahan just not in the open

Tahan has never really leant her shoulder for someone to cry on where Tim has. When someone is down he is always first there to lend a hand or have a chat and try give them a boost. Yes he's manipulative and all that but that's purely on a strategic basis of getting further in the game and like all housemates have come out and said he is a great guy just plays to win and give him props for it where a lot of housemates don't say much about Tahan when they're evicted. If she wasn't so in your face bitchy she would be nothing. Tim has more layers to him than Tahan

tim wouldn't make fun of the way mikkayla eats like she did, or say he wants to bury the sugar sisters and put them to rest. i think it's also the way she does it, she makes it seem so high school bitchy
 
If Tahan had of came into the house with the same attitude and personality she's had in the last three/four weeks then I don't think she'd have as many haters.
Her problem was that she was so horrible to Katie and Lucy from the get go and targeted them when they had done nothing wrong and were quite friendly towards her at the beginning. She was also horrible to Mikkayla and she didn't relate to the Australian public at the start and got votes for being quite controversial.
I now love Tahan for her confidence and fight and quite honestly K&L going was the best thing that could have happened to Tahan in the sense that she didn't have an enemy in the house. She built up her hate by being a hater herself. Tim's not a hater, he's a stirrer.

Yeah but she was targeting them because she knew they were fake and bullshitting. It's not all that much different from how Tim targets people he thinks are fake/a threat to him winning because he wants to 'uncover what's behind their masks'. Like that time when he was bitching about Tully to Tahan and someone else within the vicinity of her, and she called out 'I'm right here mate' and he's like 'yeah, I don't care'. I think that sort of vindictiveness is equally as bad as what Tahan has shown. But again, she's a hot girl with confidence and she's copping the hate because it's easier to think of a girl as a bitch than a guy.

And on that note - I'm pretty sure Drew has been the biggest bitch/slut of the season.
 
Us beautiful people always get more hate due to jealousy.

Tahan and Tim are both deserving but being in the super hot club with Tahan, I know first hand how hateful people can be just because we were dealt a superior genetic hand and take care of ourselves.
 
I think intent goes a long way in explaining it. Although there are superficial similarities between them there's an underlying difference IMO. Tim seems to have a kind of deep down, genuine affection for most people (with the possible exception of Ed and maybe some others I'm forgetting). Even when he's making fun of people it doesn't seem nasty, it just seems like the kind of teasing your brother would do. It's hard to explain but the way he talked about the rocks was a pretty good example... he seems to have a genuine interest in people, even people who annoy him like crazy, and notices things about them and will talk to them and try to understand them better. He'll laugh at Jade and tease her about her shortcomings but she still feels okay being around him because deep down he's not really malicious.

But when Tahan is talking about someone it seems like her intent is to hurt and belittle. The fact that she's always giggling and laughing as she whispers about people is very reminiscent of the cool girls group at high school. Even though what they're saying might be true, or hilariously funny, it's still cruel and the intent is to humiliate. It just makes me uncomfortable to watch her because I don't enjoy seeing people embarrassed in that way.

In my eyes she's virtually been a female Tim. She's confrontational and speaks her mind, and minus her first few weeks of playing up the drama queen wanting the hair dryer, once she settled into her actual personality I feel like she's actually MORE real than Tim in the diary room (as in, no long overplayed four year old child's drawling voice when speaking to 'Beeg Brahhhtha').

But I'm seeing a ton of comments hinting that Tim is for some reason more deserving than her? She's been just as nasty behind the backs of others as he has been but no worse. And she's been just as honest, if not more so, about being in it to win it and not giving a fluff about the friends she makes. I totally get if you feel that Jade is more deserving because you'd prefer a more kindhearted winner - but as far I can see all the hate Tahan cops is based on the age old societal double standard that a pretty girl can't get away with the same sorts of evil as a dude.

They consider what Tim does to be funny. Cutting the cord of the hair curler, spreading garlic over everything Boog owns and blaming Drew for his shit. When Tahan does something, it keeps getting brought up and is called a selfish bitch. He acts like a sook when a prank is done on him but posters blame Boog for everything. He bitches about other HMs behind their back too like Tahan and yes its double standards.

Well, we don't really know that, do we. No one can dispute that Tim got by far most of the airtime. Most of us knew as far back as week two, that Tim would take it out. How did we know that?

Oh, I know there are still doubters, I personally would much prefer if Tahan won, but let's just be realistic for once.
To think that Tim is not going to win, is equivalent to Jade believing she'd have a future with Ed.
