Jade is pathetic

I've just gotten home from work and saw the footage of Jade saying the I love you bit. Surely there has to be a time when Ed's non responses to her register in some way. Why on earth doesnt she see it, the girl really is truely pathetic

It's not as if Ed hasn't tried to let her down gently, she's not stupid, she knows full well that he's probably not as interested in her as she is in him, but she wants Ed, he's her perfect man and he's going to love her whether he likes it or not goddammit! I'm actually starting to feel sorry for Ed, he can't win & he can't get away from her. I agree with GalPal, Jade's doing this to herself by refusing to face reality. I have no sympathy for her.

She's also a good girly-girl, being besties with Mikkayla and the sugar sisters. Even though she's boy-crazy, she has time for the GFs too. That's a great thing. Could be strategy, but I think she's not faking it. She really likes being friends with other girls.

I can just see her in Mothers' Club, and working in the school canteen. Unfortunately, I also see her as the type to judge other mothers, and be cliquey, just like she has been in the House.

I wonder if some of it might be exaggeration on her part. Maybe she is keen on Ed and knows that it's unrequited but believes that it would gain her sympathy if she plays it up to the nth degree. Because who the hell could be in love with Ed?

Agreed..something doesn't add up about this. Something tells me she's definitely playing it up a bit.

The thought has crossed my mind that Jade is actually playing Ed, and is possibly trying to get Ed to end the relationship to gain her sympathy votes and ensure Eds eviction.

But I seriously doubt there's that much going on in Jades head. She's just an obsessed nut job.

Nah sadly I don't think so. Jade is plain and simple infatuated with Ed. I honestly think she thinks she's found 'love' which is why she's oblivious to any sign that he's not interested.

I only hope her fall back to reality doesn't destroy what self confidence she has left.

Does anyone else agree that Ed without Jade would be better than Jade without Ed. That's assuming either one of them wasn't in the house to begin with, or one left earlier, because nothings changing the last two weeks.

She doesn't seem oblivious though. She keeps saying stuff like "I know you don't want to hear this but..." then goes on to tell him how full of awesome he is and he doesn't reciprocate. She knows. It's almost painful to watch.

For sure.. Unfortunately though I think Ed will be evicted this week so we will have Jade for another week ;)

Yeah, this is the worst part. She knows that Ed isn't into her but she loves him too much to leave him alone.

I'm not sure. I sort of lean towards Jade would be better without Ed. I don't think there's been a moment this season where Jade wasn't about Ed.

No denying that they would both be very different HMs.

I don't see how much different Jade would have been without Ed, she'd still just lay around with the Sugar Sisters. Ed wasn't the one following Jade around. Ed has been a more active participant, whereas Jade hasn't done anything.

I agree that Ed would have been better without Jade. Who can forget his strip dance under the palm tree....he had potential....she smothered that right out of him.

I think Ed without Jade would be preferred, the man hasn't really had a moment to himself since Jade decided he was 'the one'. But I still want Tim to beat Ed so Ed can stay another week before getting the boot too.

IA. We did get a taste of Ed without Jade and the guy was still drywall. Of all the muscle heads, he had the least personality and the muscle heads were scraping the bottom of the personality barrel anyhow (RIP Caleb, he was the good one). Ed was a paranoid sort of self-aware before Jade and he was suffocated with Jade. Jade, I think, would have been more likeable without Ed at least because as much as the girl wants to be an actress, she can't act. She's very forthright and heart on her sleeve and that's endearing. She has shown signs of being a good game player too. Her nominations and observations about others have always been really astute. She is very perceptive. But her laser beam focus on Ed, the self-denial, clinging on to nothing, it dragg-ED her way down.

Ed says stuff like Drew and Tim are boring... and that he wants to go against them.... He has the personality of bean curd and the IQ of a Ken doll.

The same could easily be argued for Jade.

Not really, she was looking for love she walked in there and set her eyes straight on the (in her opinion) most attractive guy there
If it wasn't Ed i think it would have been Drew who was 'open to finding love'
There's a reason those two were the ones asked to play husband and wife...

Just a question, and a serious one, all the people saying Jade is a nice person, can you please tell me what leads you to this conclusion? Didn't like her from the moment she came in. Then her meltdown after Jasmine's farewell video totally drove home to me what a shallow, immature girl she is. I have tried to find the nice but can't seem to locate it beneath the princess, and all the Ed pursuit.

I think she can be considered "nice" in contrast to the others. She hasn't had any truly volatile moments. But "nice" is usually a word saved for vanilla people that you can't attribute anything more descriptive to.
