Omg *drewwl* kudos to whoever assembled this together

I'd wholeheartedly agree if the images didn't involve Tully. Does absolutely nothing for me and before anyone replies with the obligatory and predictable "well you'd probably do nothing for her" i'll say thank fuck for that!

So tonight she is at the B105 Date my Mate party for her birthday and they asked her over twitter if she was going in as "Single" or "Potentially taken". There are a couple of photos of her and others and I noticed both Caleb and Ben are wearing green badges that say "Date Me" but she is wearing a red one that says "Date my mate". So even though she said this morning on the radio she was going in "Single" it looks like she took the other one.

Edit: Mikkayla (who isn't single as we know) is wearing the same red Date my mate badge.

Edit2: She actually wore both badges. I don't know why really - either you want to wear the green one to pick up or you want to wear the red one to not, seems like if you wear both you might as well just wear the red one - but anyway.

Do I really need to spell this out for you? *sigh*
Ok, here we go:
Most people in relationships want to be able to trust their partner to not get romantically involved with a person outside the relationship. If there is an agreement that they are in an open relationship, then that's fine, but most relationships are not like that. Even though Tahlia knew that Tully still liked/loved her, Tully still broke a pretty big (probably unspoken) rule. Tahlia probably saw it as a betrayal of her trust, and/or felt like Tully was choosing Drew over her.

And you shouldn't be assuming that celibacy is always a bad thing for everyone. What about people who are entirely asexual, or people who choose to be celibate for religious reasons?

You confusion would be lessened if you understood the difference between relationships and sex. To have a relationship necessarily involves having sex but the converse is not true.

What you have described is the right wing conservative model based on property contracts. That is each of the individuals concerned has rights over the others' body and emotions. This is a failed model. In the US about 50% of marriages last 15 years or less. (I imagine that the numbers are similar in Australia). This statistic is a lot worse if only marriages conforming to the model you have described are considered.

Lets try a thought experiment. We have 3 people, Rui, Elsa and Maria. Maria and Elsa have a relationship. Rui and Elsa are put on an uninhabited island for 8 weeks. In order to protect her property value Maria can put an emotional, if not a physical, chastity belt on Elsa before she leaves. Or Maria can recognize that a relationship does not confer a property right and tells Elsa to enjoy herself while on the island. In either case Maria and Elsa cannot have sex or engage in their relationship in any other way. So the only difference from Maria's point of view is that in the first case Elsa's natural sex drive has been thwarted and Elsa returns emotionally, physically flabby and mentally disturbed, and in the second Elsa has been having regular sex and is emotionally and physically taunt, trim and terrific and well adjusted when she returns. So which is better for Maria?

You're still not getting it. It doesn't matter whether you or I think cheating is good or bad. The fact remains that Tully did something that was a deal breaker for her gf (and would be a deal breaker in many relationships).

When they asked her on Twitter which she would be wearing she asked if she could wear both. I think this is another one of her committing but not wanting to be seen to commit to her feelings. She may as well have worn the red one, but wearing both goes with her 'it's all too complicated; I'll just have to wait and see what he wants when it's all over" spiel she is using to protect herself a bit I think.

The more that happens with her on the outside and what Drew says on the inside makes me actually think that this relationship may go somewhere. They're clearly gaga over each other.

I have said before that I do not plan to comment on what Tully's girlfriend may, or may not, have have done. I've actually attempted to avoid having to by compositing a scenario which, I believe, encapsulates the debate.

However, I feel no reluctance on commenting on your attitudes or that of the 'moral majority' that you claim to represent. If it is true that Tully's behavior would "would be a deal breaker in many relationships" then when and how did this paradigm come about? Why is it that these relationships are built on the ethics of the right wing religious wing nuts? Why is it that these many relationships are creepy, dysfunctional and fragile? Why is it that you and this majority is so opposed to good, clean healthy sex - so much so that you claim that is a reason to terminate a relationship?

I don't think she sees herself as single. She still says "in a relationship" on facebook.

'Date Me' + 'Date my mate' = 'Its Complicated'

Its you who are not getting it! When Tully gets out and finds out how Tahlia has cheating on her she is still prepared to take her back. Despite this Tahlia has insisted on continuing to humiliate Tully. Tully has been so good about this.
