TIM-ED argument transcript...and WHY did it start?

Watched the footage again and it doesn't show much in the lead up to the argument. Footage starts with the HMs sitting on the outside sofas in a big group, the group appears to be involved in some kind of heated debate and Tim seems visibly upset about SOMETHING (?) and then BANG it's all on. There is no context whatsoever....I'm certain Tim lost it and called Ed an idiot for a reason, something was said or something happened that made Tim snap like that.

Any ideas what it was ?

THE FOLLOWING IS A TRANSCRIPT OF THE ARGUMENT.
MANY THANKS TO YASMIN WEAVER FROM THE BBAU LIVE FEED FORUM FOR THE INCREDIBLE WORK.

ALRIGHT. Just put it in writing for everyone bickering about it here, I've spent the last hour transcribing Ed and Tim's argument expressed trouble keeping up with them both (it was hard to write, I'll tell you that).

Pick it apart at your leisure, folks! (and excuse my typos where you find them.)

Tim: "Ed, are we cool?"
Ed: "Yeah."
Tim: "I just felt as though you were making fun of me, that's why I--" [cutoff]
Ed: "Nah, I was gonna speak to you tomorrow because I was just pissed off that you called me an idiot. I was just like, do you think that okay--"
Tim: "I know. I just felt like..." [trails off]
[both start talking at the same time here]
Ed: "Like, I know you--
Tim [contd from above]: "...whether you understood what I was saying or not--
Ed [over the top of Tim]: "No. That--"
Tim [contd from above.]: "-- you made me feel like an idiot in front of everyone and I was just trying to

get the ball rolling--" [cut off]
Ed: "You called me an idiot. And I was just like "Are you being serious?""
Tim: "Because you were make- I was like "Why are you doing this?" like--"
Ed: "Nah. Like, I'm not saying that. I just think--"
Tim [contd from above]: ""Why?" When I'm just trying to get the ball rolling, being vulnerable, you're

making me feel like a fool--" [cut off. Ed talks over the part after 'vulnerable']
Ed: "No. No you- you weren't, at all. I- I felt as if you just- you just pointed me out and I felt victimized,

on the point of, well, I'm not the one saying it. Everyone was saying it. So why just point out--"
Tim [over the top of Ed]: "No..."
Ed [contd from above]: "-- and say "Ed, you're an idiot" 'cause you said that. So I just felt--" [cut off]
Tim: "And then it was when Tahan--"
Ed [contd from above]: "-- it's extremely rude. And I was just like "Who's he-- who- you can- you

should never be able to call anyone that--"

[Maddie and Tahan walk in]

Ed [contd from above]: "-- it doesn't make it okay."
Tim: "I can when you're singling me out in front of everyone--"
Ed: "I wasn't--"
Tim: "You were--"
Ed: "I wasn't at all. And you're trying to play that card--"
Tim: "You did."
Ed: "-- and that's not going to roll with me because- that- you were, because you made me feel like and

absolute idiot and you say that in front of everyone when everyone else is saying--"
Tim: "I'm saying that because you made ME feel that--" [cut off]
Ed: "Tim--"
Tim: "I was calling you out on--"
Ed: "Does that make- does that make it okay to say- to make--"
Tim: "Yes. Because you made me feel like a fool--"
Ed [over the top of Tim]: "Does that make that okay?"
Tim: "--like a criminal even--"
Ed: "[unitelligible... "That's not okay"??]"
Tim: "You're calling- if you're making me look like a fool when I'm just trying to get the ball rolling on a

joke--" [Ed talks ove the bit after 'rolling']
Ed: "Who's making you out like a fool?" [he then repeats this when Tim is silent]
Tim: "You did!"
[it gets difficult to write here, because Tim is trying to finish his sentence and Ed keeps breaking it up and

trying to walk away]
Ed: "Tim--"
Tim: "You did. And when Tahan--
Ed: " Tim, all I'll say is--"
Tim: "--started explaining it you said "Let him say"- he--"
Ed: "All I'll say is that if you don't--"
Tim: "Ed--"
Ed: "I'll not stand here--"
Tim: "You did it. You did it."
Ed [contd]: "--and let you--"
Tim: "But, why--"
Ed [contd]: "--create something that doesn't exist." (walks away)
Tim: "I- Why would I say--" [cut off]
Ed: "No. Because I just thought that's pretty--"
Tim [contd]: "--you're bing an idiot. Why would I say you're a bloody idiot if I didn't feel--
Ed: "Because you're trying to win an argument. And I just don't feel--"
Tim: "What? There was no argument, Ed!"
Ed: "No. Exactly."
Tim: "I said--"
Ed: "Exactly."
Tim: "I said why- like- why--"

[cut to Jade and Maddie then back again]

Yasmin Weaver12 hours ago
Tim: "I'm not out to get you--"
Ed: "I don't think that at all."
Tim: "There's some mass hysteria of paranoia happening in the last few weeks--"
Ed: "Has that been--"
Tim: "I'm not playing this game like that."
Ed: "Tim just think for a second. Jade's--"
Tim: "These new sides that they've- that you think is happening in the house, and that you're being singled out and left out, there's no cool group. We just wanna have fun--"
Ed: "Exactly. Go have fun. But, I don't feel that you understand how excluded I feel at times and things, and then you ask for trust about everything and the you go asking everyone else about it to back you up."
Tim: "That was Tahan, Drew and Boog. I--"
Ed: "So why haven't you said anything to them about it of they made you- did you just say they made you feel like an idiot as well?"
Tim: "No! Only YOU--"
Ed: "But why--"
Tim [contd]: "--made me feel like an idiot tonight."
Ed: "--would I--"
Tim: "That's my feelings."
Ed: "The only person--"
Tim: "That's my feelings--"
Ed: "You can feel that. But I feel that you just looked at me to say that--"
Tim [contd]: "-- so that's why I called you a bloody idiot."
Ed: "But, but that- Why does two wrongs make a right? Why is it okay for you to call anybody in this house any name."
Tim: "That's why we're talking about it now, Ed--"
Ed: "I definitely understand that. I'm trying to understand YOU."
Tim[contd]: "--to make sure that we're okay with what happened tonight."
Ed: "I'm trying to understand you, because-"

[cut to outside and back]

Tim: "Are you trying to make it out like I said that without her knowing I said that?" [Ed talks over the last bit of that...]
Ed: "No, no. I'm using that as an example. I didn't tell her that, did I? She doesn't even know about it."
Tim: "Why are you trying to make this out like some--"
Ed: "No, because you--"
Tim [cont]: "-- smoking gun!"
Ed: "No! I know what you do, Tim, and I'm okay with that, but all I'm saying is that you and I differ. If you want to pull someone in to try and win an argument then fine, but I don't think--" [Mikka is standing beside Ed here]
Tim: "You're trying to use the exact same thing." [pointing to Mikka]
Ed: "What you do."
Tim: "You're trying to--"
Ed: "Exactly what you do. You don't- you feel threatened by for some reason. And you feel as if you can make me feel--
Tim: "I do NOT feel threatened by you, Ed--"
Ed: "Well, Tim--"
Tim [cont]: "--THAT is the joke of this all: that I don't!"
Ed: "Well- Tim!"
Tim [cont]: "I don't need your validation at all."
Ed: "Tim, I have mates that are exactly have the same interests as you, work in the exact same thing, exactly studying what you're studying. You know nothing about me. That's what, in this whole thing, is so funny. You pass judgement upon me, whether you admit it or not."
Tim: "It's not about what we do for a job or what I'm interested in."
Ed: "No. It's who you are as a person. We- we've had this underlying... whatever it is, and that's fine, but--
Tim: "I just--"
Ed [cont]: "-- what it gets back to is, tonight, you think that, because of your underlying tone. I guess, I think that because my underlying tone with you, and the only reason that it makes it a bigger issue at times--"

[cut to Tahan in the Diary room, who then kicks them out of the bedroom]

{cut to out in the kitchen]

Tim: "Or do you want two groups? Sometimes--"
Ed: "I have never wanted two groups at all. Like, I'm happy- more of a natural progression on things."
Tim: "'cause I don't want two groups."
Ed: "Do you think there's two groups, Drew?"
Drew: "Don't think there is. There only is when... it starts to get acknowledged.
Ed: "Yeah. Exactly. Perpetuated."
Drew: "Yeah, it's an idea only."
Tim: "So, today when we're all having fun, we're not saying "We don't want those guys having fin with us". Like, I'm apologizing for calling you a bloody idiot--"
Ed: "Yep."
Tim: "--and explaining that was because I felt like you made me feel like a bloody idiot."
Ed: "Yeah, and I guess, like, if we can't come to an agreement then we can't come to agreement."
Tim: "Yeah."

I can't believe somebody transcribed that. It's just babble babble babble. Even reading it now makes my brain melt. It doesn't help that I'm hearing it in both their voices. lol

Thats true....a hell of a lot of half sentences and cutting each other off.
I think it's fair to say that only one point got across in full and with clarity.
IMO this was the only punch that landed and hit its mark. Everything else was gibberish.

"I DO NOT fell threatened by you Ed, Thats the joke in all of this...I don't need your validation at all"

Haha , agreed :)
Guess Ed played his cards then ?
Oh poor Ed, he looked really uncomfortable, and once again was not able to verbalize his thoughts clearly.
At least Tim made a bit more sense ( or tried to )

Kudos to Yasmin Weaver for the transcript and for phatbeats33 for putting it up for all of us .

"I DO NOT fell threatened by you Ed, Thats the joke in all of this...I don't need your validation at all"

Maybe it was one of the only sentences that were completed...doesn't make it true though does it?

I actually thought Ed saying that he felt victimised was the biggest point made. It sounds like most of the HM's weren't interested in joining Tim's 'taboo' discussion but Tim chose to single out Ed only. Tim doesn't like it when the others don't just roll with his idea of 'fun'. Just like all the annoying behaviour from him the other day... So what if the others don't want to join in? It was Tim who made the point many times that the others (Mik, Maddy, Ed and Jade) were boring. BORING... Because God forbid they made their own decision.

It was some sort of sexual question put to everyone I believe that they couldn't air in the "family friendly" time slot.

"I DO NOT fell threatened by you Ed, Thats the joke in all of this...I don't need your validation at all"

Indeed, only a masochist would want to read that whole ...whatever it was again. To my great shame I just discovered that I am half a masochist... then I stopped reading.

But we should commend the authors of that transcript on their devotion and tenacity.

"I DO NOT fell threatened by you Ed, Thats the joke in all of this...I don't need your validation at all"
Couldn't agree more, just for this single sentence it was worth listening to the rest of ...whatever it was.

I do think that had it not been for the constant interruptions from both sides, Tim would have had Ed in the bag. But how do you argue with an idiot? Ed argued like a little girl, a very little girl, stomping his foot.
Wasn't there just prior to the 'argument' a performance in the kitchen where Ed let everybody know who would listen, that he, Ed, would let Tim know what he thought of him... and again... and again...

I fear that Tahan will now cop some flak from our adorable 'Tahan Haters' for her audacity to suggest they should take it outside because some peeps wanted to sleep.

Well done to the transcriber, will try and give it a read through but currently my brain is in weekend mode.

I fear that Tahan will now cop some flak from our adorable 'Tahan Haters' for her audacity to suggest they should take it outside because some peeps wanted to sleep.

I actually loved that she did that. HMs needed their beauty sleep and T wasn't going to let some fight get in their way. Ha!

I'm with Consuela. I was glad to see Tahan do that. And she did it politely. I probably would have been annoyed and cranky.

Thank you so much for the work you did. I didn't realized that Ed cut Tim off so often. In the end they said nothing, lol.

I don't know anyone who would take offense, because they are called idiots in a mildly heated conversation.

Ed postured to first Jade and then Mikkayala how he had had enough, he was going to pull Tim aside "a little later" and put him in his place...essentially tough guy talk, YET, he clearly baulked at doing so because he was actually off to bed when TIM CONFRONTED ED...and not only that, Tim confronted him with a "are we cool?" essentially presenting himself on a silver platter to Ed who was threatening to take him on....EDs reply? yeah. (massive fail) I thought he was fed up, that he was going to finally put him straight, that he was going to confront him. FAIL ? Looks as though Ed couldn't summon up the courage was off to bed to no doubt brew over it all night.

Also, when the argument started getting heated did Ed stand his ground ? NO....he began walking off like a petulant child and very far removed from the tough guy in the kitchen who was boasting how he was going to take Tim down. Ed FEARS Tim make no mistake about that.

Also, Ed had 2 moments in particular where he appeared to have a brain freeze, where he appeared utterly lost and confused. I general he looks fidgety and limp and very nervous, often looking away or at the ground and often scratching his face and shuffling from one foot to another. Tim on the other hand was smiling virtually throughout the ENTIRE exchange and always looked like he was about to get on a roll and make coherent sentences if it was not for EDs incessant interrupting (something Tim also later began to do). The body language was clear as to who was playing the dominant and who playing the submissive.

The point Tim made about not fearing Ed AT ALL was very clear, very concise, was delivered with attitude and with a smile....the fact that ED was at his MOST SILENT throughout that particular point is the clearest indication that this particular point was HITTING HOME HARD !!! Make no mistake, if Ed takes nothing else from this argument, those words will be etched into his brain.

To think that ED gained anything whosoever from the nights action is ludicrous......he postured, he huffed and puffed, he then went on to duck and weave and avoid confrontation even when it was presented to him on a silver platter....he then went on to utterly FAIL at making even a SINGLE clear point and whats more stood in stunned silence as Tim scored the only big punch of the night....all the while ED struggled to look anything but indecisive and limp.

Just because the argument was MOSTLY a mess of incomplete sentences does not mean that the proponents take nothing from it, that couldn't be further from the truth, and although neither side was ale to claim a 'knockout' victory I suspect both Tim AND ED will in their minds be fully aware that if it was Tim who won.

I suspect that EDs behaviour will change in subtle ways...but much will depend on how his pride deals with this. ED can longer foolHIMSELF with the idea that he is the big dominant cat in this jungle and I'm sure he will avoid further one on one confrontation with Tim......do not be surprised to see a more placid ED in the near future.

Lol...it's like I'm reading a script to some movie or something. Excellent.

I totally pictured their faces and voices btw (Tim and Ed's).

In all seriousness, if you were in a position to write such an excellent commentary on every episode worth mentioning in the house, I would gladly stop watching that childish, overedited garbage we are being fed by CH9 and read your missives instead.

Sad thing for Ed is, this was IT, this was actually IT.

All that obvious brewing and no doubt nights silently brewing, all that huffing and puffing, all that bravado and posturing.....and all that talk of one day playing his cards and putting Tim in his place ad this is what it he gave....an utterly limp performance akin to a first time theatre performers stage fright.
[MENTION=31112]GoSarah[/MENTION]....damn straight Ed got owned.

Do you think this argument was Ed's cards? I think that was it and now he has nothing left to say or do to bring Tim down.

For sure, this confrontation was EDs deck of cards.

For many MANY weeks now he has threatened to expose Tim, he has threatened to reveal the ugly truth to the housemates, he has threatened to open everyones eyes, he has threatened to bring him down..put him in his place.

Well, THIS was his golden opportunity, Tim had finally crossed the line when he insulted Ed in front of te whole group by calling him an IDIOT....and for the first time ever, ED openly spoke to both Jade and Mikkayla that the time had finally come, he was going to confront him and give him a beatdown.

BUT....when it finally came time to put into ACTION all those WORDS....he failed miserably. Now even ED who is so delluded by his own importance and ability will come to realise that he just hasn't got what it takes.

I think we've all met people like ED, in fact that kind of person is quite common....and I have no doubt that right now, his pride, along with his ego is STINGING.

Agreed with all of this..when Ed made his comment that he would confront Tim..Tim walked into the kitchen and what does Ed do...Uhhm nothing.Bet Ed will get evicted and will take Tim on in tweets and social media when he has a ghost writer doing his talking for him and when Tim is not there to defend himself

I'm left in no doubt as to who exactly got the points and whos ego will still be hurting.....what I'm wondering however did anyone catch exactly WHAT triggered the "you're an IDIOT" comment from Tim.

There is some suggestion that because it was not shown that the discussion may have been of an adult/sexual nature hence the editing. I know one of the first words caught in the live feed was "PRUDE"...a term most often (almost exclusively) used in a sexual context...but without all the footage it's really only a guess (but a good guess).
