Ok, so Ed is a deadset prick - but what is up with this obsession Ed has with Tim. It's worse than Jade's obsession with him. It seems to be all he is focused on or talks about. Everyone pretty much knows how Tim operates & it's not malicious. So, why does Ed have this obsession & think Tim is SO horrible? What got him started on it? Why does he talk to everyone about it all the time & act like he's in major military tactical talks when he does? And what do you think he really believes he's going to do about it, since he hasn't done anything thus far except bitch?
It began in week two of nominations, when Ed had the superpower and got to listen in on three nominations. he went for Tim, Drew and Xavier as they were the 'smart' ones. He heard himself and his group described as 'the meatheads and the models' by Tim, looked shocked, and has never forgiven him. He's a petty, resentful, dopey little Mummy's boy.

Got to agree, he doesn't really do a whole lot. Just eye candy for those who find him good looking. He is a good looking guy but doesn't do anything for me.
I agree, yes he has everything in proportion in his face but I don't find him attractive. He would have to have a personality for me to find him attractive. Tim, on the other hand is not attractive at first but his personality draws me in. He makes me laugh.

I don't know any SELF RESPECTING HOMOSEXUAL male who would want to take Tim up the dirt track.
I don't know that there are any self respecting homosexual males in the house, so his Gas'nCoal is probably safe, for now.

Haven't read the thread.
However the answer is simple. Tim is immune to Ed's charms. That is why.
With out his superficial charms, Ed has nothing else to win people over as he lacks any real substance. That is why he's fixated on Tim. That is why he see's the only option to destroy him.

I hate Ed's snide comments.... it's like he wants to call him out but doesn't ACTUALLY want to call him out, so instead of confrontation he just makes little jibes.
I assume ages ago when he said he was going to rock the house and expose everything if he got evicted was referring to Tim? What's he going to say that they don't already know??? Tim's a shit stirrer, but I don't think it's exactly a secret that this is part of his personality... and his strategy!

Ed is talking to the audience. Not to the housemates. That is why he doesn't really act on it.

Drew whispers into Ed's ear about Tim. Drew whispers into Tim's ear about Ed. Ed cops onto the whispers....
Tim is trying to drive a wedge between me and Drew !!!

Yeah i picked up on that too, it made Ed look really thick.
I believe Ed WANTS Tim to be the bad guy or even NEEDS him to be just like Tony Montana or The Joker as i get the vibe that Ed wants nothing more than to actually live up to his 'Prince Charming' moniker and to be the hero. To be the hero you need a villain and Ed needs Tim to fill that roll, at least that's how it comes off to me, especially when Tim tries to talk to Ed calmly and politely yet Ed just isn't having it as being an enemy of Tim services him better than being a friend of his. It's amusing this theory to when i think about it as Ed's just coming off as a gutless prick by never standing up to Tim or at least confronting him about his problems with Tim, i suppose he feels having a slight mean/serious streak will muddy that shinning armor of his.

Exactly this. Ed wants to be Superman, but Tim is like kryptonite. He just doesn't know how to get one up on Tim. That's because he never will, Ed's just not smart enough, and deep down he must know this.
Ed is the most overrated housemate ever. No substance whatsoever. And just boring as hell.

I think the only reason he's lasted this long is because amazingly those who have been evicted have been featured less on t.v. Jade could easily destroy Ed by just letting him go. No shitty romance = no t.v. time for Ed, if it wasn't for Jade we'd all probably forget he was even there.
