I loved the moment of where Walter was taking to his son. It was a slower episode than i expected though. I don't know how all this is going to be solved in one episode.
I know. Just one left. The son is such an idiot. But yet it was a good moment. Walt is so used to being able to demand or outsmart or manipulate people into doing what he wants and now it's falling apart all over the place.
I thought maybe Walt got the ricin for himself but then realised why bother. I need Jessie to be ok. I feel so sorry for him like I have never sympathised with a meth cook before lol
But seriously, I will be very upset if it ends with him as their meth cook slave indefinitely ......

Yeah, they're up to their eyeballs in fucked-up now. No idea how this will pan out.
(Hopefully a better finale than Dexter)
I haven't seen dexter yet. I'm about 3 episodes away. By your post my expectations are nicely lowered so maybe ill be pleasantly surprised

SO, thread still hanging are
- Lydia - the tea remains a focal point, and I think it is itching for some ricin. Matt Damon has a Jade-like crush on her.
- I am in Cz and cannot buy any blue meth for love nor ready money. (How are supplies in the south west USA?) I wonder if we will hear from the Czechs this episode - it seems a bit late for a whole new cast, really.
- oh. And what about Gus's connections down in Chile? Will they ever drift north to exact their terrible revenge? Clock is ticking.
- Grey Matter partners - they took Walt's ideas and made a fortune and a reputation with it - just like Matt Damon is doing now Maybe the TV interview was just a catalyst to get him into gear to say 'Not this time,' or maybe the ricin is for them. No. I think it is just a parallel - start something with his genius, then walk away and regret it. I think it is just motivation, and I don't think he will be getting revenge on his ex and her husband, but instead on
- Matt Damon and Nazi uncle - I think an M60, with Heisenberg without his shirt on and a bullet belt wrapped around his forearm are in your near future. 'Knock knock.' .It is all he has is his reputation as a drug baron now he has lost all else.' Be damned if you are going to sully my legacy.'
- While shooting Nazis - which, actually, seems pretty unlikely, and he will probably find a more subtle way to destroy them, but maybe all he has left is whopping streams of liquid hot lead - he will accidentally rescue Jesse.
-Walt's death - at the hand of Jesse, most satisfyingly. Possibly with the ricin, but I doubt it.
- Jesse - takes Brock and a barrel of money and heads for New Zealand to look at castles.
I watched Daredevil again the other week, to see what the Batflect might be like, and realised that Daredevil in that movie is basically Dexter, but without the awareness of his psychopathy. So, like Tully crossed with Dexter in a really really average movie.
Hanging for the Breaking Bad finale. I reckon they are going to pull it off.

Walt was in the empire business. He missed out on Grey matter. The blue meth is his legacy but he has no empire. Most of his money is gone. After speaking to his son, he clearly was going to listen to Saul and just be the nice guy, do what's 'right' and turn himself in for the good of his family until he dies. However the interview really made him realise he wants the legacy of his empire. He's not going to die in jail, he's going to try for significance. So he isn't just going to fade away. I think the comments about how he was just a sweet nice man in the grey matter discussion really is what sent him over the edge.
He was never really that guy. He doesn't want people to think of him as that guy. Heisenberg is who he really has been all the time. He wants to be remembered as that kind of guy.
I was expecting him to read about jesse's girlfriend in the papers.
I think part of him still wants it to be known he didn't kill Hank. I'm sure that'll play out some how. He's going to blame the Nazi's for ruining it all, not himself.
Lydia... fucked if I know where it'll go with her. Will Todd go all pyscho. Will Walt want to bring his empire down on his own terms.
I hope Jesse doesn't kill Walt if Walt does indeed die. Walt is a cancer invading and destroying everyone's lives. However if Walt is killed by Jesse, to me it'd seem as if it was saying Jesse is now free from his problems, free from Walt. When really Jesse has been his own worst enemy. Jesse has been screwed over by Walt but Jesse is responsible for his own poor decisions. Including getting involved with Walt. He's a weak, emotional drug addicted. Walt has fucked him over hardcore, but in Walt's mind he was trying to help, even in doing bad things. Which gets to the core of the show. Walt doing bad things with good intentions in the outcome. Walt didn't cause Jesse's problems, nor will no Walt save Jesse from his problems.
I just really hope there's some big grand scheme or plan by Walt in the end. He's been set up as a brilliant guy. I want to see that, not just him storming the Nazi compound with a machine gun. I want to see him come up with some plan which succeeds. Even if part of his plan is him dying.

I am very curious. I am loving that it isn't a typical 'everything works out for the best type bs ending so far. Walt may pull some stuff off tho. Kill the hillbilly family with the ricin, inadvertently save Jessie and somehow get the money back to give back to his family. .... Or maybe the cancer will take him out on the way and Jessie will remain a meth slave and Skylar and the family will be depressed and living on the poverty line for years to come and generally everyone involved will end up miserable and we will all learn to just say no to drugs lol

I think it's safe to say he gave up on his work for his family. All he could do for them was turn himself in. Seeing the Grey Matter people on TV talk about him, dismiss his contribution to the company. The talk of blue meth still out there. Made him realise he hasn't made the impact he wanted. He will want to be remembered as a bad ass who did something.

If this does not happen the final will be really disappointing, Oh hell what am i saying no matter how the show ends next week I'm sure that I will be very happy no matter what happens.....except if Jesse dies.

I know! That the ending is unpredictable is just another great aspect of this show.
How long was Walt in his hideaway spot?
I can't wait to see how it all ends. Walt Jr was pretty annoying not accepting the money. I know he was hurt, and wanted nothing to do with the Dad he now sees in a terrible light, but they need that money.
I have difficultly seeing Walt Jr from a sympathetic perspective even though I probably should. His character has never really been fleshed out enough to evoke those sort of tender feelings.
I thought the Dexter finale was good - maybe because I'd heard a few negative reports and had low expectations.

I've been struggling with Dexter all season, kinda glad they wound it up. I was pissed off with that certain death and how it was handled, might have been a more poignant ending if that hadn't actually happened. I thought when Quinn and Batista were talking after Dexter's confrontation with Saxon, it would have been a good opportunity to show them starting to think about him in a new light, but no. Dexter just a bit too cool and collected through it all.
But anyway on Breaking Bad, yeah I think they could've done better by slowly drawing Walt Jr into discovering what's going on. I kinda feel bad to criticise this show, but his character was never really fully developed.

Oh my, what a finale. Don't read my comment if you haven't seen the finale yet - no fact spoilers, but an emotional spoiler.
This show couldn't ever have a happy ending. But I think that was about as close to a happy ending as we could get. So well done.
I wanted Walt Jr to take the money too - but the DEA were all over that family and if they had have started spending more money than they legally had (e.g. by getting Skyler a better lawyer), the police would have been onto it. No win situation.

Yeah I don't know what to think. I'm just sad it's over.

ermahgerrrd. I even watched this show while I was overseas. INSANE.
I've never had a show end like that where im actually like "yeah but what do they do next?" "so does he get it or not?" "what would such and such's reaction be when they get this" ... blah blah you get what I mean without typing spoilers lol
