I loved the moment of where Walter was taking to his son. It was a slower episode than i expected though. I don't know how all this is going to be solved in one episode.
Yeah, they're up to their eyeballs in fucked-up now. No idea how this will pan out.
(Hopefully a better finale than Dexter)
SO, thread still hanging are
- Lydia - the tea remains a focal point, and I think it is itching for some ricin. Matt Damon has a Jade-like crush on her.
- I am in Cz and cannot buy any blue meth for love nor ready money. (How are supplies in the south west USA?) I wonder if we will hear from the Czechs this episode - it seems a bit late for a whole new cast, really.
- oh. And what about Gus's connections down in Chile? Will they ever drift north to exact their terrible revenge? Clock is ticking.
- Grey Matter partners - they took Walt's ideas and made a fortune and a reputation with it - just like Matt Damon is doing now Maybe the TV interview was just a catalyst to get him into gear to say 'Not this time,' or maybe the ricin is for them. No. I think it is just a parallel - start something with his genius, then walk away and regret it. I think it is just motivation, and I don't think he will be getting revenge on his ex and her husband, but instead on
- Matt Damon and Nazi uncle - I think an M60, with Heisenberg without his shirt on and a bullet belt wrapped around his forearm are in your near future. 'Knock knock.' .It is all he has is his reputation as a drug baron now he has lost all else.' Be damned if you are going to sully my legacy.'
- While shooting Nazis - which, actually, seems pretty unlikely, and he will probably find a more subtle way to destroy them, but maybe all he has left is whopping streams of liquid hot lead - he will accidentally rescue Jesse.
-Walt's death - at the hand of Jesse, most satisfyingly. Possibly with the ricin, but I doubt it.
- Jesse - takes Brock and a barrel of money and heads for New Zealand to look at castles.
I watched Daredevil again the other week, to see what the Batflect might be like, and realised that Daredevil in that movie is basically Dexter, but without the awareness of his psychopathy. So, like Tully crossed with Dexter in a really really average movie.
Hanging for the Breaking Bad finale. I reckon they are going to pull it off.
I am very curious. I am loving that it isn't a typical 'everything works out for the best type bs ending so far. Walt may pull some stuff off tho. Kill the hillbilly family with the ricin, inadvertently save Jessie and somehow get the money back to give back to his family. .... Or maybe the cancer will take him out on the way and Jessie will remain a meth slave and Skylar and the family will be depressed and living on the poverty line for years to come and generally everyone involved will end up miserable and we will all learn to just say no to drugs lol

I think it's safe to say he gave up on his work for his family. All he could do for them was turn himself in. Seeing the Grey Matter people on TV talk about him, dismiss his contribution to the company. The talk of blue meth still out there. Made him realise he hasn't made the impact he wanted. He will want to be remembered as a bad ass who did something.

I know! That the ending is unpredictable is just another great aspect of this show.
How long was Walt in his hideaway spot?
I can't wait to see how it all ends. Walt Jr was pretty annoying not accepting the money. I know he was hurt, and wanted nothing to do with the Dad he now sees in terrible light, but they need that money.
I have difficultly seeing Walt Jr from a sympathetic perspective even though I probably should. His character has never really been fleshed out enough to evoke those sort of tender feelings.
I thought the Dexter finale was good - maybe because I'd heard a few negative reports and had low expectations.
