Why do people like mikkayla!?!?!?

Ugh I just wrote a whole post about why I have come to dislike Mikkayla after being a big supporter of hers until about week 5 or 6. I went to post and I had been signed out of the forums :mad:

I was only rooting for her and Ben until a few weeks ago. Mikkayla used to be the underdog - I really think she saw herself as a misfit who everyone was gunning for simply because they believed her to be a weak player. Besides being bossy like everyone said, she still remained upbeat and kind to people, even though she knew they did not like her and wanted her gone.

There was a time when she really only Tim as her support in the house. She was able to form a clique by instigating the fight between the Sugar Sisters and Tahan, getting the Sugar Sisters on side. Slowly Ben and Jade have also been integrated in to this clique and because she is the most opinionated of the four (well, really five) housemates, she seems to have elected herself as Queen B. With the eviction of people like Matt, Caleb, Heidi and Tully, the clique has only grown stronger.

She stated she had no intentions of befriending the new intruders and they would have to get to know HER. Nice attitude for someone who used to be the outsider of the group. Have you seen her face anytime Tahan is saved from eviction? I mean, I know you wouldn't be over the moon if someone you disliked is to stay in the house but you don't need to sit there with a face like a smacked ass either. How quickly she forgets that SHE used to be that person, that stayed week after week much to the annoyance of everyone else.

She is bitchy. That's all she does... bitch bitch bitch to her faithful followers. Remember when Jade asked her if leaving the bracelet under Ed's bed was too much? She assured Jade it wasn't then told Ed, "I told her not to!" um no, Mikkayla... you didn't. What a great friend.

Last night she bitched to the Sugar Sisters and Jade about Tim and Tahan arguing that they weren't the least genuine people in the house simply because other people thought they were mean. She wouldn't even consider what they were saying even though they had a valid point - genuine does not equal NICE. She even went and said Tim "shot himself in the foot in her eyes" and people "need to get their head out of their ass" for what exactly?... having a differing opinion on the definition of genuine? Get real. They were the ones who were indicated to be the least genuine in the house yet Mikkayla was the one kicking up the biggest stink over it.

Did anyone see how much pleasure Mikkayla got from learning that Tahan lied about nominating Nathan to stay? She was adamant she was going to let him know exactly who voted against him. She was positively gleeful because it's another reason for her to try to get Tahan off side and recruit someone to her clique. Why would Nathan even care that one person didn't vote him to stay? Why is she acting like Tahan did something horrible when she herself nominates two people to be up for eviction every single week?

I'm no fan of Tahan but at the moment, Mikkayla is making her look like a saint. I've gone from wishing Mikkayla would be in final 2 to now wishing she would f#$% off. Can't stand her anymore!

This is exactly how I felt about her last night. You summed this up perfectly. I felt like you took what I thought and worded it the way I felt.
 
A new challenge for mikkayla fans, explain why you like her and reason her bitching without mentioning Tahan or comparing her to Tahan because that seems to be the only trend.

If you come up with a well written response, hands down to you.

That comment was ridiculous and showed just how unintelligent she really is.
People that suffer from type 1 diabetes have to be perfect with what they eat.

She's one of these people that has to be the best at everything, and act like she's the best at everything.
I wish someone would actually confront her with her knowitall behaviour sometimes.

The worst thing about her is, she's the kind of person that seems to justify and rationalise how horrible they are to someone, based on if she thinks they deserve it.

Tahan can be rude, mean and nasty at times. However that's just her, immaturity, sense of humour, a lack of filter and confidence.

Mik enjoys being mean. She enjoys bitching and being horrible. The more sympathy she got, the more emboldened she has become and being even more horrible. There's no self reflection. Something Tahan does have. She has seen it as open season on Tahan and getting worse and worse towards her.

I think it's also a decent example of how having a support network in the house helps. She has people to go and cry to. So we watch a bunch of poeple all reassuring, giving her sympathy. Which Tahan doesn't have. So that very fact makes it appear she's the weaker more sympathetic party. Which gave her a lot of support.

I was one of those people who didn't see her bitchiness because of the tears. It's hard not to feel sorry for the person that is upset. But yep you make a good point, it's her own doing.

I am sick of reading how tahan is nasty, so what is mikkayla then- a saint! I find tahan immature but not nasty. Mikkayla is much more nasty IMO. Her tactics are deliberate in forcing someone to feel isolated.

I highlighted your last paragraph because I think this is the main problem in the house. I have never liked group domination. Ever! Power is power, and mikk feeds on this. This isn't a classroom she can boss around and too many hm's are giving her the go ahead by just saying yes to whatever she complains about

I find her a controlling sneaky bitch - she has the other housemates bullied - as Nathan said hes scared to say anything she doesn't like - hes right! within minutes shes holding court with the other members and viciously backstabbing the 'culprit' who dared to express an opinion different to hers - also as mentioned resorting to crying for sympathy when bullying doesn't work - the others keep the peace and say nothing except Tim - she thinks she can win - her arrogance is on a level with Ed's- basically shes a pig

She thinks shes better in a lot of things than other people which not always be true.
Justynn has diabetes so he would have knowledge in nutrition so I doubt she is 10x more knowledgeable in food.
More knowledgeable probably. 10x unlikely.

Yes, Justynn lied about being a neutralist. He did a lesson on nutrition because of his diabetes and pretended to be a neutralist! The fact that he had diabetes showed that he had a crap diet most of his life, doing a lesson on nutrition doesn't make you an expert, and Mikkayla clearly has a lot more experience in food preparation.

He has type 1 diabetes, it's completely different from type 2...

I think we all have a general bias that the better looking person is in the position of power and that they pick on the less beautiful people.

Type 1 isn't from poor diet, its usually from birth. Type 2 is diet. So I guess it depends on which one he has. And we never get to see anyone else cook, so you can't claim Mikkayla has more experience, she just does it more in the house.

Just because he didnt take a nutritionist course, it doesnt mean he knows nothing. Please.
OMG, he has type 1. Not from a poor diet. Is this a joke?

I must have missed that part. She has been nothing but supportive of her friends in the house and if she is critical of someone it doesn't stop her from sitting down with them and helping them or giving them advise, like with Ben and Tim. Maybe you are thinking of Tahan? She was the one critical of Jade and the bracelet and the fact that Ed later put his shorts under Jades pillow might mean that Tahan was wrong! Shocker!

I delurked and finally created an account just to defend all the only children out there. I do not want to get lumped in with the likes of Mikkayla and I actually think she doesn't act like an only child at all. She is much too loud. Actually, of all the housemates Jade seems the most likely to be an only child in her personality.

Very much so theyre acting like their favourite. It's also a comment trend to always mention Tahan when defending Mikkayla. Getting a bit old.
