Housemate #5 TULLY!

Sam and Ava from last year weren't kept away until they entered the house. They knew about stuff before entering with Sonia asking their opinions on housemates before they even entered. I think I recall Sam saying he didn't know much as he usually worked at the time the show was on, and Ava kept listening to the crowd for answers, for whatever reason if I remember right and not saying much.

The only intruders who have known zilch about things before entering were the ones from the 2002 series (Kieran and Brodie) as they had them away in another house together with no contact to outside world before entering. Oh and then the series that had Demet, as she had to live in a white room before entering the house.

So if Tully is still in there, they would be aware of what has been happening with her girlfriend, etc unless they tuned out of it. Intruders are told not to tell the housemates any outside info but a few have slipped up at times over the years.

Thanks for clarifying Poona - i didn't watch a lot last year as I missed the beginning and just couldn't connect with anyone in there when I tried to catch up.
 
I read an article from March 2012 that mentions Tully is "getting hitched" (to a woman) and there is a photo of her and two other women in wedding gowns and flowers in their hands. Wonder what's that about...

Last year Sam and Ava weren't in lockdown until just before entering and when they initially both became close to Estelle you could see it set off alarm bells with Michael and Benjamin. I think that's when they first started to realise she was popular on the outside. It will be interesting to see what these guys do.

Matt doesn't hate Tully, he was just real with her, same as Ed she just doesn't like to hear the truth. That's why she was drawn to Drew because he's a good listener and rarely challenges her.

TRUTH. Tully hates being challenged. Drew is too scared to challenge her. Perfect match.
 
Now I am convinced this pretender called Tully is all about breaking into the acting scene... This short film was made a year ago, courtesy of another thread... Hope they don't mind me re-posting. Scary parallel.

Hi All! First post so please go easy on me ;-)

My personal observations about Tully:

1. She says BB is providing her with a platform for Alzheimers and for gay marriage. Not sure how much of an advocate she can be for gay marriage if she's essentially left her g/f for a heterosexual relationship (not to say straight people can't be advocates), but Tully is now synonymous with unfaithfulness, switching teams and so I would not consider her the poster child for gay marriage.

2. Speaking of controversial...Tully is a "social media STRATEGIST". Her job is to devise strategies through social media to generate interest in a person or product. SO, is it possible that she, Thalia, and other friends who all have been managing various twitter, FB etc accounts to generate interest in Tully - even going so far as to have pretend break ups to generate sympathy or what have you? (bad publicity is still publicity as far as media is concerned)

3. If the above sounds too far fetched, then please note that Tully is also an actress, and quite a good one at that (others have posted the link to a short film where she plays...a succubus). Have no doubt she, and possibly Talia and co. had preplanned all of this to generate a media storm. Drew was brought into this after Jade showed no interest in him and Tully was rebuked by Mr. Ed...Showmances = a lot of camera time and Drew is no dummy ;-) What also gets you extra camera time is "hard luck" stories, crying and fights. Now who has all three of those on rotation? starts with a T and ends in y-ning ;-)

I would like an intruder to come in and whisk Drew away from her and see how she copes in the house, and/or Talia comes in (she also made it to the finals) and see who Tully chooses. LOVE BBAU

i think you have done an excellent job on your first post...and bring up several points i have been sitting quietly thinking about...I'm very hopeful that there is more exciting twists to come bc I'm loving AU and hoping US will take some ideas from here...our past season was so ridiculous, several of us from the chat group, came over here and began discussing it in the US chat room:) We also need something like this forum, which i would like to start, if there are changes to support a season again.

BB15 was my first US season. It's a very different show. I know season 1 of BBUSA was a public vote but was not well received by the public and that's how the current format came to be. I'm wondering what ideas would you like the US format to take from BBAU?

Nearly every viewer on each continent with her horrible behavior.

I can see why it would cross people's minds that Tully's hook-up with another housemate maybe a pre-devised strategy considering Tully's profession and extensive background knowledge of Big Brother. However, i seriously doubt this is the case because if Tully, her partner and her friends set up for Tully to form a relationship in the house in order to win $250k then there is an element of prostituting Tully out. Tully seems to have just have formed an attraction with Drew and acted upon those feelings hedonistically without really thinking off thalia and the outside world. simple as that. Nevertheless, her actions did affect the outside world in many ways and i think Thalia's and her friend's reactions are honest ones, and not part of a strategy.

It's a nice little theory but it would also mean they'd be trying a $250k fraud and if they got caught it wouldn't be nice for them...

I would agree, the only thing poor Tully is a poster child for now is Prozac.

I think its a risky strategy, social media is much like a huge docile dog, happily laying there licking its own balls for the most part but treated wrongly it can turn into a seething brutal snarling beast and if it decides to target you.....may God have mercy on your soul.
 
Tully is an emotional girl, she may even be bi-polar( I like her regardless) but any way you look at it she is far more entertaining than the giggly sisters

While I admire your relentless attempts to slag off the sisters/campaign for Tully this week, do you realise her odds are now down to $1.14 ffs? She's going home. On the plus side you'll be able to follow her around and compliment her apparently entertaining personality 24/7.

I agree with you. I don't want her to go, but I think she will :(

I want the SS to go so much, but they have all the Tully's haters voting for them. I don't want Tahan to go as well.
