Vest Vs Hairdryer - Rewards Vs Punishment

They've said on the show multiple times that Tahan lost the hairdryer BEFORE entering the house, it had nothing to do with the spa.

Mikey keeps saying in the narration that it was taken off her BEFORE she entered the house...
the sisters only get one when they ask so i'd say its more of a general rule that she tried to ignore, and she just didnt notice it was taken off her between handing her bags over for checking (enter house, get bags, break rules, bags taken off her) and getting the bags back.

I think the first actual fight among Tahan and the sugar sisters started with BB allowing the girls to use a hairdryer/straightener for an eviction show or something, and others weren't allowed to use it? Then they had the fight about the fake blonde hair extensions when Jasmin was wearing some as well? The sisters had their own bedroom for the first couple of weeks. Tahan was also annoyed when BB gave the sisters a beauty hamper, so maybe they got fake eyelashes in that, unless it was mainly nail-polishes?

If Tahan was smart she should have picked Tim's jacket.

Then she could have said, I was being nice & not petty.

No, not at all.

She's be a sucker if she did that.

She made the best choice.

Tim isn't someone who'd say, 'oh you did that for me, let me do this for you.'

He's a cock.

Mike Goldman said in the voice-over that Tahan's hairdryer was confiscated before she entered the house.

Tim cuts the cord in half on Tahan's straightener and she chooses a bag over his jacket and she is the "bad" person. I'm living in a different world.

Hair dryers are not allowed in the house, it's BB rules. No matter how quiet or silent it is. Tahan never had the hair dryer in the house and it was taken away from her post-isolation pre-house.

Big Brother chose Tim to do the dilemma as they obviously knew it was a safe move as Tim would always choose the ice cream over the hair dryer, keeping it away from the house. Tahan has lived without it this long, can't she just wait a few more (or one ) weeks? She says she isn't materialistic, so why is it even a problem?

It wouldn't be as interesting to watch, nor give us as much to talk about, if Tim and Tahan did what was nice for each other.

Much better TV in them baiting each other and being kinda selfish. I love it.

These rules are made to be broken. It allows BB to create punishments and obligations, bargaining and negotiation, tensions and drama.

But the Sugar Sisters are so loved for their niceness.

No he didn't. Tahan had the hairdryer taken off her when she was in the Halfway House before she entered the Safe House.

Tim destroyed Tahan's hair straightener by cutting its cord, so he owed both BB and Tahan big time. Tim also did this not after he learned that Tahan had thrown the jacket over the fence, but only as a response to her taking the jacket and saying he would never find it. What Tim did was far more malicious than what Tahan did. Malicious acts such as destroying personal property should have consequences, but Tim has never had to face the full consequences of his malicious behaviour.

Well that is nit picking at certain events rather than looking at the big picture to make it sound biased for Tahan. I could do the same for Tim: Tahan threw Tim's jacket over the fence and than when faced with the choice of giving it back to him or receiving a free bag, she selfish chose a Kardashian bag. See how that paints Tahan in a negative way because I nit picked at only half the story? If you look at the bigger story you realise that both are in the wrong in some capacity.

Tim's just a selfish prick. That's the bottom line.

She threw his jacket over because she was shitty at him taking pleasure in being mean to her. There's no other explanation unless you think tim's a complete baby who can't resist food. He is never happier than when he can come out and say, 'look what I just did.'

Throwing the jacket is immature, but I think that just comes with the BB experience. Him cutting the straighter, destroying her property is on a different level. It was mean and vindictive. The jacket thing was at least a fuck you, I will do something to punish you. Tahan is helpless. She can't reason or ask Tim. He says he will and won't.

She was right to not take the jacket from the diary room. She'd have been a sucker if she did. Tim would still take the ice cream after that. Now though the balance may be shifted and so Tim will do the right thing because he has something to gain.

yeah, we get it. you hate tim, so you see everything he does through hate-tinted glasses.

sure, eating ice cream instead of getting her hair dryer is a dick move. x3. but it is still a harmless dick move. and funny as hell. and it tweaks tahan's nose, the biggest bitch in the house.

the war of escalation (ie the vest and the hair straightener) was stupid on both their parts - and didn't help either of their cases. maybe his act was worse but she crossed the line first (retaliating for BB's tasks is out of bounds as far as I'm concerned)

besides, with everything else that we see from the house, tahan still comes across as a much worse person. it may not make Tim a good person, but I'll happily cheer him being the agent of karma.

Touche ;)

I don't want the SS's to win though. I just want to save them this week to get rid of Tully, because that would show us a very different Drew.

The SS's are cute and sweet, but in the real world, I wouldn't be able to be around them more than 5 mins without getting a migraine. Tim and Tahan are not as "nice" as the SS's, but they are at least genuine in their apparent selfishness. I like watching the minor conflicts :)

People reach a point in the series where they either demonize everything a house mate foes, or completely justify something someone does. Unable to get past where they stand now on that housemate.

If Tahan took the jacket, they'd be having a go at her for being fake and playing the game.

It was in Wednesday night's episode in the scene that starts at 16:24 just after Tahan tells the others that BB told her to dry her hair in the oven.

Yep we are living in different worlds.
