...The hundreds of "Jade's" he thinks are desperately hoping to win a date with him?

Did he and his family put their heads together and devise a strategy where he goes in the house and presents himself as the perfect man whilst, on the outside, his family and friends drum up support for him by giving the public the chance to "win" him for one night?

Does he believe hundreds of people, straight girls and gay guys, are lining up for a shot at winning his heart and his ticket to 250k lies in not dashing their hopes by hooking up in the house?

Just a thought. You may shoot holes in the theory now.

Yes I do think his family told him the best chance he'd have of winning is to appeal to that demographic.
But he's also revealed how gutless he is and that's not an attractive feature in a man, so really I don't know who would be voting for him now.

I wonder if he was weighing up continuing the "Prince Charming" persona by saving the fair maiden versus upsetting the hundreds of girls I'm sure he believes are queuing up for a date with him by making them think he secretly has feelings for Jade?

I can't help believing he would have saved Heidi in a heartbeat because his fan's wouldn't feel threatened by her and that it was a calculated game plan move that was not entirely based on fear of Tim's popularity that made him put Jade up.
 
Ed is no prince charming. At all. I don't remember prince charming ever leading girls on then hiding behind them to save themselves. His mumbling talks with Jade, kissing her, saying he doesn't like her, then humiliating her, then going back to her ... the guy has no guts. He just wants to LOOK like prince charming and maybe he even thinks he is. But he's not.

I think the "win a date with Ed" was a complete scam. The "Winner" took berating from other fans of the page to even reveal herself, the winning caption was nowhere to be found and Ed supporters even said "so what if it's fake, wasn't it just fun playing?" The belief is that the "Winner" was actually a friend of Ed or the family, who pretended to be a genuine winner to keep fans interested and hopeful. His family offered a second chance to win but after the scam was exposed, this disappeared. It was a good plan but executed terribly. Go to the Ed Lower Big Brother facebook page and click on the status announcing the winner of the caption comp - then have a look at all the posts. Shot themselves in the foot there!
 
Ed thinks he's awesome. He's totally in love with himself. He thinks everyone else will also be. He is playing the game.

It's like a musician pretending they aren't married so their fans think they have a chance.

^ This. I used to like the page but they are all pathetic! And his sister is really rude towards Jade. She has said some horrible things.
 
A fake win a date? Man, even a real one would be lame. That's just so wrong. Not quite the honest and good family after all it seems if that is fake. They all seem to talk big about Ed being a prince and doing the right thing ... but when it comes down to actions ... his actions are not very nice. He seems more worried about looking like a good guy than actually acting like one. He's worried about him. I really don't get what Jade sees in him at all.

That's really the question, isn't it. She has mentioned on several occasions how she likes big muscles. She's not stupid though, she must know that the veneer is just that, a veneer.

Yep. On the blog one of them (dunno if it was his brother or sister) referred to Tully's "bipolar attitude"...f'ing uninformed and ignorant. Not denying or condoning any of Tully's behaviour BTW, I just hate stigma.

It's so weird. It would be one thing if she just liked him, but she's been going after him like he's the last man on earth. Even after he keeps treating her badly by leading her on and voting not to save her. I'm so confused what it is that she sees in him. To me there is nothing there. He's okay looking and he doesnt' cause trouble ... but ... he doens't really have the biggest personality and he doesn't seem super interested in being friends with anybody else. I mean he's polite, but he's distant. He's not terrible, but what is it that is soooo great? To me he's wallpaper. I would never even notice him at all. I know she likes the muscles, but .... is it really just that? She doesn't want more? Drew had some muscles. I don't know. I'm so confused by it. I keep trying to figure it out and I can't.

Oh dear - just followed the "my littlebrother thread" - it must run in the ..... - apparently its acceptable - to advertise your little brother on social media - oh dear - poor judgement - again does it run in the .......?

I think she went after him straight after her short marriage (to Drew) because even then she spoke of muscles. Drew missed out on the muscle count, because she understandably wanted fresh air (after the marriage) and she did say to BB that Drew wasn't her type. Interestingly, Drew admitted at the time that he could see a future with her - or something along those lines.
Now, if you're looking for the big muscles, there where Caleb, Matt and Ed. Whom would you have chosen?
...I hope I'm wrong but I fear that Jade by now thinks that if she turns away from Ed, the public might lose all interest in her. I hope I'm wrong.

I agree. He's blown it, both with Jade, and with the voters. Weak as.

In all honesty I do not remember as it was many week ago when things started heating up between the two (probably 3rd week or so). It wasn't nice, that I do remember. But most of the comments are very anti-Jade on that page, mainly from the general public.

Thanks. At the beginning he didn't want to admit he liked her so it made her look bad and of course the public love to attack the pretty girl. I believe he liked her all along but doesn't want a showmance . Now after watching Late night feast we can see it's getting harder for him to resist. Even Drew said he was after his ex-wife early on.

He's pretty and so she thinks she deserves him.


His whole persona is an act, 'i'm mr wonderful.' I don't think i've ever seen him do anything but enjoy and embrace the 'prince charming' / 'perfect' labeling.

Jade's just bought into this. He just loves himself and so loves being loved but not loving.
 
I just posted in today's live feed thread that I don't think Ed's single which would backup what someone said last week. I don't want to post the link here or my explanation for it so I don't spoil it for anyone but I'm now thinking that person was right after initially doubting them.
 
I believe Jade goes for Ed because he is supposedly 'Prince Charming' and 'perfect' and for her to 'get him' would prove to herself that she is worthy. Bless her heart, I don't think she yet understands that self esteem will not be given to you through a man but only found within. On top of that, I think she is genuinely physically attracted to him and likes the idea of him being this 'gentleman' ...though I think she will learn he is far from it.
