The hate for Tully is disturbing

Yes, I hope she does.

The Australian crowd is too soft though compared to BBUK

THIS

BBAU crowd should boo and cheer to create drama in the house! Plus it gives the HMs a rude awakening of what to expect in the outside rather than being all shocked when they get evicted, best example is Heidi on this, she and her fellow HMs give her too much credit

Comparing the BBAU crowd to the BBUK crowd is like comparing apples to oranges, no? Totally different mindset and I would imagine a totally different crowd demographic.

BBUK has a more apocalyptic Running Man crossed with panto vibe. A lot of Australians find the booing in extremely poor taste, tacky, cruel unaustrayn, and just wrong, like rolling around pretending to be hurt in a soccer game.

Cultural differences. Public booing like that is reserved for the truly evil, like pollies at the cricket. We don't have the panto tradition. Or the need a leader thing like HOH. Different cultures, slight variations. Public booing would give the show a tackier, cruel reputation, instead of the fluff one it has now.

I dont know what should happen. Tully will certainly be booed. At best, it will be like the awkward interview with Aaryn on BBUS last week, where they grilled her about her racism in the house, seconds after being evicted. (wonder if they will do the same to Spencer.) She needs to grow out of her narcissism, that is a far worse flaw in her than the cheating, I think.

I really liked Tully for a while there, but each week something more is added. Poor loser, this week.

Hating on a character from a story is an old human tradition that dates back to the campfire. characters on our tv screens are just characters in a story, and venting your spleen at them is not news, even when it's near universal and people numbering in the millions.

Attacking the character OR the person on the basis of race, sex, religious belief, sexual orientation, or even their physical characteristics is crossing the line. Not because it goes "too far" but because we as a society have determined that discrimination on these bases is simply wrong. In these instances, it isn't the hate that's so disturbing as it is the discrimination.

That said, the hate does go too far is when it crosses over into "real life", such as threatening violence to the person's real (non-tv) person/things/friends/family.

However, I don't mind the booing. The on-stage appearance is the denouement of their on-tv story - they haven't quite transitioned to real life yet, they're still on show - they bought their ticket, they knew what they were in for. I say let them crash.

I don't hate her because it's an incredibly strong word, and this is just a tv show. But as a character on a tv show, she's incredibly self-centered, manipulative, emotionally unstable, supercilious, needy and exasperating. I've seen no redeemable qualities. There are fleas more tolerable than Tully.

I agree with this. She just isn't a likeable person. She is emotionally needy (beyond belief) & completely self-centered. She practically 'demands' attention from others & is an emotional vampire. She sucks people dry with her neediness. She is like a toddler, totally egocentric, and throwing tantrums to get attention. Not to mention all the drama she stirs up with Drew.

I hope tully watches herself on big brother from beginning to end. I actually think it will be a learning experience for herself if she is open to it that is. She does act as if though she is self entitled and that she deserves special treatment. Her reaction to mikkayla winning was just a shock, even the way she talks in general to people. Her arguments show a lack of understanding, she never takes blame, infact it is all one sided. There is no remorse from her whatsoever. Examples. Her argument with drew. She started to speak to him rudely and swore first first, yet attacked him when he retaliated. She was completely unaware of her own behaviour. Another example? When she spoke of mikkayla being saved as if she deserved it. Yet she acts like it should be her saved or to win. She is so out of touch in regards to her self awareness. I honestly hope she watches and reflects, as it is the only way I believe she will show any kind of growth and development of bettering herself in the future

Very interesting. I wonder if watching herself would make her become more aware? I'm not sure. I think for most people it would be a wakeup call. Most of us would be shocked to see ourselves act in some of the ways Tully has. But Tully does seem very immature & unable to accept her own negative traits. She is keen to point out everyone else's faults, but seems blind to her own. She is very needy too, and seems to expect others to look out for her or take care of her. And if she doesn't get her way, WATCH OUT (especially poor Drew lol). It would be emotionally exhausting having her as a friend or partner.

Yeah im not a fan, she is an empty shell of a person that has had all the optimism and niceness sucked out of her.

You know that saying "Your crying over spill't milk" ?

I actually believe if someone in the house spilt milk on the floor, she would have a whinge about it.

OH and i don't like her defense on being sad and angry every week being up to the fact she was nominated as she said to Matt.
Tahan and Mikkayla are up alot and still manage to be happy and fun in the house each week, so step up tully and dont use nominations as an excuse for bad behavior.

Asking Drew about his every move is getting tiring ... Hell BB gave Jade and him a task for an hour and there Tully was asking why he was gone so long ? ....

I can see why others in the house dont bring her up on the issues, she flat out refuses to acknowledge that they exist.

Apparently everyone else is wrong and she is right. Matt had the balls to bring her up on it, but unfortunately he was always going to get schooled in that convo because he couldn't articulate the point properly like Tim could. Im hoping he does something about it soon.

I find it hilarious that tully is rubbing so many people the wrong way and seeing the reactions and manner that people act on this forum...I'm sure if half the people on here went on big brother you would get as much "hatred" back . Seriously all these people are just human everyone stuffs up and cheating isn't the worst thing in the world someone can do!!

That is my opinion too. Maybe my grand mother was not cheating, but that's it :)
Specially if you are not married, it happens, you cheat, you stop loving, you leave your boy friend, take another one, that's life. Everyone does it. Big deal

and in the context the HM who are around Drew & Tully 24/7 are classifying it as emotional cheating. In every day life you will find people you connect with and get close to and rethink your own relationship, perhaps break up with your partner and take a risk but shes in a house on television and Drew is helping her get through it. They havent had sex, they've got drunk and party pashed, if she was a straight girl with a boyfriend on the outside its more obvious but cause she has a girlfriend theres more blurred lines there.

It's pretty clear cut! No one else in the house who is in a relationship is doing anything like what they are doing. Even spending all their time together is crossing the line, much less sleeping in the same bed together and touching each other inappropriately. There is no justification for that. Tully shouldn't be with Drew 24/7 if she wants to keep her girlfriend on the outside. Oops! To Late!

It is her life. She is not married and can fall out of love when ever it happens. She does not have to justify it to us. She will have to sort out her life when she is out. It is not going to affect YOUR life. Even if you are perfect it is not for you to decide what Tully's life SHOULD be.

I think the reason so many people do not like Tully is because of her closeness to Drew.
I have never been particularly fond of her as her tantrums and tears about the fence and pretty much everything turned me off her quite early in the series.
In the beginning of the series, Drew was very popular and may have even ended up winning.
Tully was never that popular but she is even less popular now and has dragged Drew down with her.
But, it takes 2 to tango and their relationship in the house should be judged on both of them.
I have a feeling if Tully was with Caleb for example, people would not be so up in arms about it all. And, if this happened I think Drew may have been one of the most outspoken about it.
I believe people are angry at Tully for corrupting Drew.

Yes, I think you're right. Lots of people are saying things like "get Tully out so Drew can go back to being friends with Tim". There is a lot of outrage over the fact that she cheated but I agree that a lot of it is because it's Drew she's with. I think he was the most popular HM at one stage and now he's one of the least popular.

Oh for the love of God! Your comment is just plane silly and immature! She is in the Big Brother house if she didn't want to be judged and scrutinized then what the hell is she doing in there? The whole point of the show is to scrutinize the housemates behavior and for them to be judged accordingly!

If a person says they are in a gay relationship on the outside of the house and they behave like they are hetrasextual and single in the house then they should be prepared for the consequences of those actions! Saying that this is off limits is stupidly ridiculous!
