Ratings Thread 2013

All BS probably. And I must say, while I'm not one to look too much into total people, it isn't the best result. Maybe leaving it at 8PM was the best thing. To be honest though, with daylight savings coming, I can't see the ratings going up.
 
Wow not good at all for an eviction. I am certain that is due in part to it being on a Monday night, bring back Sunday night I say.

It will be interesting to see how tonights Feast show rates. I want to say high, but I would have said that about an eviction as well, so who the hell knows?
 
I don't think Feast will rate highly at all. My prediction is that a huge segment of viewers that would watch Feast will watch it online as it's probably not something people in the target demographic feel comfortable watching with parents around.
 
They do need to do something pretty drastic though... Evictions used to be ROCK STAR events. Now they're pretty lacklustre. Sonia sticks to the script (and bad puns) waaaayy too much. Gretel had more free reign I think...

Still better than Kyle & Jackie O's crappy back & forth banter...

In Kyle's defence, he kept pushing for more adult content.

I'd have Kyle & Jackie O over Sonia any day (even though I refuse to watch AGT because Kyle is on it).
 
Didn't Sonia when she crossed to drew last night make a joke about his fake goatee that he wasn't even wearing at the time, It's clear she was just reading the teleprompter, not taking any notice of what was actually going on, Gaffe #500. Her care factor is zero.

Oh yeah, he was a fan of that wasn't he.

The other day I watched a few clips from BB 2008 - Kyle & Jackie-O were so scripted and the back & forth banter wasn't genuine.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Kyle Sandilands on AGT (and on X Factor & Idol), but he didn't suit Big Brother.

They need ME to host :D hahaha

OK, now in Sonia's defence.... she may very well have seen live footage of him during the previous ad break or something and presumed he was still wearing it when they crossed. I think she could do a better job of knowing what is going on, but I'm not so sure that the fake-mo issue is fair to use as ammo against her.
 
Personally, I think she doesn't give a shit about BB and the auidience deserves to see a BB hosted by someone who gives a damn, like Gretel!

Agreed. Gretel loved BB. Sonia just treats it as a job. She flies up, does a rehearsal for the show, does the show just reading the script and makes it very evident she hardly watches the show, and then flies back to Sydney.

She has no emotional investment in the show and it is so obvious she just reads from the script. All of her jokes are aimed at little kids as well which is annoying because she can actually be quite witty. She never challenges the Housemates either. It reminds me of someone doing a speech and just reading the dot points rather then reading the dot points and then expanding on them. Gretel use to read the dot points and then after the Housemate responded she would expand on it and ask them why or something along those lines.
 
although sonia is not perfect by any stretch- she definately isn't the reason why the show is struggling. I think the format is old and boring too the masses- like all great shows ie masterchef, australian idol there comes a point in time where they no longer remain viable due to lack of originality. To put it in perspective if someone told you at the start of the series that an eviction show would rate 887k you would say that is an epic fail- a daily show should be getting that not an eviction
 
The main reason the show isn't rating is because we aren't seeing enough of the housemates. If the housemate were left to be themselves then we would be more enthused for it. However, they spent the first 2 weeks with gimmicky crap and didn't lay the foundation with an uplate show, games and more straight daily shows.
 
Ratings wont be good for late night feast due to it being on at different times throughout the entire country. So I hope channel 9 dont go crazy thinking it was a failure!

It even cut into the noms show. It could actually be good for ratings unless every other channel had footy coverage as well (I'm NSW so I don't know)

Of course ratings would get fixed in the consolidated edition, even though those numbers are important, no one seems to care about them anyway.

But yes, it will be all over the shop.
