We had an incident last week during evictions when Sonia was talking to the halfway HMs. Sonia asked generally, "Who will be evicted?" Some teen girl in the audience yelled out "Tully." The camera was on Tully at the time, and Tully heard her name being called out. This alerted her to the case that there may have been a strong contingent of people who disliked her.

I generally only attend international sporty stuff, like cricket, some soccer, commonwealth games, swimming.

I quite like Sonia, but she definitely encapsulates the attitude Nine seem to have of BB. I'm not sure if she's told to, but the way we're explained the plots they've developed, when we should laugh and even what we should think of housemates ("Daww, isn't Ben adorable?!" seems to be along the lines of most things Sonia says) definitely leaves you feeling like a child. I didn't particularly like Gretel, but the live shows definitely used to be much more enjoyable and actually *feel* like special events. Now we're told that they're a special event and the biggest twist ever blah blah blah. I prefer the shows without Sonia to the shows with her now, which I think sums up where BB has gotten to. It's entertaining, but it's television that they want to ensure is controlled and children friendly.
 
I actually didn't watch Big Brother when Gretel was the host so I can't really compare, but Sonia annoys me. I feel like she's always talking down to everyone: the audience and the housemates and telling everyone what they think. She also seems really fake like everything she says is scripted. She talks like what's written in the live feeds.
 
Poor Sonia. What they have done to her is disappointing - they are turning her into a 9 person, shallow/smug/showbizzy.

And I'm a Sonia fan, Tina Sparkle. They have taken her core and left a prancing pony shell.
They lobotomised all her naughty sauciness, where did the map of Tassie naughty Sonia go???

Please steal Todd, she needs a naughty offsider.

Gretel - would be capable of debating with almost anyone, examples, say Germaine Greer, John Howard.
Sonia - would be left gawking with her mouth open, and do a little dance.

Maybe I will one day! I was just a kid when she was the host so that's why. I do remember occasionally seeing snippets of BB on tv but not enough to know who any of the HMs were or anything.
