It was a joke that failed to land with a lot of people though. Personally I took it as a joke though he's still not one of my favourite HMs but I have entirely different reasons for that.

For some reason lack of personality often gets viewed as being nice on these shows. No, it's not nice, he just lacks the intelligence for any conversation to get interesting or to have an opinion or an insight.

The fact he stayed when he ads nothing is just another reminder that I have a completely different viewpoint when it comes to the show I want to watch and the people I want to see than the majority of the voting public.

Exactly. I just had time to watch the last 2 days shows and I was so disappointed when I heard the dumb crowd cheering him on. Why? Can't they see what a not nice guy he is? How arrogant he is and he is boss and was the one turning people against others. For example Rohan. Then to discover Rohan was out I decided not to watch the rest. The thing is I do not want the so called cool group of Matt, Tully and Caleb to dictate the house. Tully annoys the heck out of me as well.

By the way so glad to discover I am not the only one who thinks he has a very good body but his face.... Monkey indeed comes to mind. And that there are 2 of them. OMG! :P

He was so obviously taking the piss, did anyone not notice how forced or wooden he sounded?!

I mean for fuck sake, at bedtime he asked the twins if they wanted him to sleep in the sleeping bag on the floor to ensure their comfort.

I knew it wasn't going to be received well in this forum given the fact 60% of its members are social retards and another 13% are social outcasts and let's face it, social retards and social outcasts LOVED to be outraged!

Reading the comments, apart from one person everyone else was saying they saw it as a joke, so I'm a little confused as to why there are comments saying that there was a lot of outrage..

I must admit I don't find him very interesting though.
 
Just wanted to say, one of my favorite bits tonight was Matt putting the bucket on his head to drown out the chatter.
That was a memory maker for certain!~ ;) loved it!~
 
His initial comments about the girls makes me feel like he's a bit of a misogynist. It doesn't have to be about them being girls.. maybe they're just dramatic people? I mean, I really think it's a personality thing, not a gender thing.

Yeah I think he was intending it as a joke but it didn't deliver well enough and so has backfired. I generally like him but not for a win.
 
i still wanna know what happened with jade...when jasmine and tully were saying how she has tried it on all the boys and that matt put her in her place. Gotta love a guy who doesn't mess around. But yeah, finally got to see more of him last night and i think he was great..

Didn't mind him putting the bucket on his head - was mildly amusing.
But then the obnoxious, attention seeking way he just kept on banging on the bucket to drown out her voice was just plain rude and annoying.

And his hideous ignorance of the English language is killing Drew & Tim, I reckon matt just makes them all round cringe.
And since both have personalities Mr wooden Matt hates em, Caleb is like collateral damage, he's become matt's girlfriend and is gong to die with him.
