What's the obsession with degrees? Even you could get one if you learned how to spell. - Oh wait, that's no longer required for a degree... my bad. :p

I know. 99% of the population is capable of getting a degree. It's commendable and shows a person can be diligent but it doesn't say much about intelligence (unless it's some super dooper degree)

Tahan didn't save Mik because she was a loyal and dutiful friend. In the diary room Tahan said she saved Mik to keep a what she perceived was a weak and unpopular hm to the end so she could beat her. It was strategic.
This. So much! She said it more than once. There was certainly not anything close to a friendship requiring loyalty between Mik and Tahan.

That being said, Mik shouldn't have run to the sisters. they already knew Tahan was bagging them to their face. they would have suspected it was behing their backs as well. No need to rub their faces in it.

^ Nah, I think she added that part to add some reasoning to it besides personal attachment. Tahan definitely saved Mikkayla because she definitely liked her as a friend, at least on some level. The move actually made TAHAN less popular with the housemates, so it was much harder for her to do it rather than let her stay in there.

Yeah, I took it that the part about being able to beat her if it came to the two of them was more an after thought than the core factor in the decision.

I guess those of us who are Tahan supportes should make offerings and thank the gods that she isn't flirting with any of the boys. That would surely be her death knell - the 'ugg-boots-brigade' would see to that. :p

She so reminds me of those shallow, bitchy girls in the "popular" group at high school who picked on the plain girls due to their appearance.
Think we are familiar with the type.
Thing is, this is not high school - very tiresome and immature...

She needs to get rid of mikkayla, who is using Tahan to improve her standing in an alliance with dumb blondes

And remember Tahan is the closest thing to a friend for mikki, she saved her, cooked with her, slept in beds together, helped her find clothes when she felt fat and ugly.

Well, she's staying true to her words, being loyal to her hot BF. guess none of them come even close in comparison with him. Tahan is no angel and I'm very well aware of that. So far her pluses have outweighed her minuses. I know she does go on a rant sometimes when something annoys her, I do that too. She did say she was a drama queen and I do find her entertaining more so than the Barbies who are too candy sweet and pink for my liking. I bet they'd appeal to the little girls who'd like to emulate them.

I read Mikkayla pretty well. Her survival instincts in high gear. She won't make anyone a good friend. She'll save her own skin even if her life didn't depend on it. I guess, she does have childhood issues which I shall not elaborate. I think George Clooney is her best pal and her saviour right now.Big Bro did a good thing for her. I still can't forgive him for taking the hair dryer away a 2nd time with Tahan already being in the halfway house a 2nd time. If anything that was really mean. Tim is Tim, at least he is true to form. Noticed, the only 3 who haven't experienced the halfway house are the Barbies and Ed and (boohoo) it is about to be removed. I think they have the advantage. Another point I fact is that Tahan had initially chosen the key to the Safe house but Sonja or Sonya intentionally( manipulated) her to choose otherwise( not playing fair)

Mikkayla's just.. such a stereotype.

Exactly. Plus, some of the smartest people out there don't have degrees.

I think the primary reason why Tahan is "mean" to the sisters is because they are not genuine. Their giggly, ditzy demeanor is such an affectation, and one that they can't sustain long-term, since they're constantly dropping it and acting less like over-grown three year olds. The sisters are also totally hypocritical in the way that they're constantly asserting how "nice" they are, by doing what they claim not to - bitching about Tahan. And notice how the constant waterworks (turned on mainly for Caleb's benefit) totally dried up when they had their confrontation with Tahan, showing they can hold their own and are not the infantile kewpie dolls they pretend to be. So I do not blame Tahan one bit for detesting them!

I think Tahan is an interesting character. For a girl involved in an industry where her looks are paramount, she doesn't rely on male attention for validation (hello Jade) - she isn't the least bit flirtatious. She's also shown awareness of other people's machinations, but doesn't choose to flirt or ingratiate herself with the "popular" group in an attempt to get ahead in the game. She appears to remain pretty true to herself. When you've got the sisters' on one hand playing the grotesque helpless over-grown baby card (that works a treat on Caleb) and Jade's shameless (and failed) attempts at being the femme fatale of the house on the other, props to Tahan for just being her own person, flaws and all.

Yes! Nice post.

Very well put. I totally agree.

Bravo, totally agree. I'd take Tahan over those sisters any day. She is one sassy, confident chick who doesn't need gimmicks.

I feel like a missionary who has saved yet another soul from oblivion. My day's work is done

Yeah well said chumly.

I would also add to that that there is a major difference between being honest and being mean. Honest people will often get accused of being a bitch or harsh or mean - and truly rooly no one can claim Tahan wasn't right - their hair is horrible and ratty and fake
