Drade - Still A Better Love Story Than Twilight

See what's been goin on today? A bit of sweetness ..they will have a great friendship at the very least.

I thought I was observant, but I never noticed this before, but your spot on Nat. The whole week did go by and no one went into that Diary Room. So they really did pass the task. Looks like certain people higher up needed them to fail in order to follow a certain script that's already written? :-( That's not good. I'm fond of both Jade and Drew. Especially Drew. There was one shot of Drew watching Jade sleep. Mmmmm, I definitely would've loved to have swapped places with Jade ha ha ha.
 
I remember in the early stages of the Honeymoon Suite, Drew made the bed and was doing thoughtful things for Jade, and I believe Jade has thought to herself "Mmmmm he's nice looking but a bit too nice and sweet for me." Well what a pity they cant redo Drew and Jade meeting again for the first time. I bet if Drew had've acted more aloof towards Jade, and showed less interest in her and a hint of arrogance, I think Jade would've been far more intrigued by Drew. I sat here stunned at how she wasn't interested in him. At one stage I was yelling, "What the hell is wrong with you woman, give him to me". Who cares if his hair stinks, I will happily shampoo his hair for him in the bath. :D
 
Excellent choice of Avatar mikidiki. I adore Drew and I would love to see him win. Jade's got rocks in her head to call Drew her best friend. At one stage, when they went back into their Honeymoon Suite after being out around all the other House Mates, she said to Drew, "Now don't touch me anymore." :confused:

Oh dear, I've got 3 Posts in a row. Next time I will type everything in one Post lol. I'm a Newbie and still learning.

I think jade might have a thing against 'smart' guys. The guy is studying to be an engineer and in jade's head she can't reconcile that with the 'dream guy' she fantasizes about. She was taken aback when he revealed that detail about himself and did not seem to be a positive reaction. That's what I'm basing it on anyway as jade appears to be an 'outdoorsy' kinda girl and anything contrary to that doesn't sit well with her.

You have a point, although it may be more that she is intimidated by smart guys, rather than being against them.

She said before going into the house that she wasn't very smart and was a bit concerned how she would go because of that. And Drew was shown on last night's show commenting to Tim and Heidi that a conversation between Ed and Jade would be boring, which might also highlight an intellectual difference between Drew and Jade that they have both noticed.
 
Jade is a bit dim, Drew is very smart - all that was clear during the task, she was utterly stupid.
Show him her hideous playlist ;)

The girl is in love with Johnny Ruffo for goodness sakes.
 
Johnny Ruffo?? Oh gawd..I've lost all hope that she will come to her senses with Drew. Silly silly woman!!
 
Just some thoughts that I've had regarding the Drew/Jade marriage task over the last few days, as the whole "Drew and Jade passed their task, but BB wanted them to fail' posts have been fermenting in my mind (sorry - it's the psych degree and my job in investigations I - look for clues and anomalies for a living).

Drew is attracted to Jade, and initially I thought they were very well suited and had been chosen for the task well - but now I wonder if the task WAS supposed to fail, and they were chosen for their differences so that they would fail. Drew was critical of Jade to Heidi the day after they failed the task, and there was also the comment to Tim and Heidi about Ed/Jade convo being boring - so there is a disconnect between their personalities. Perhaps Ed and Jade were actually planned to attract (as they seem to be more similar in their interests, as other HM seem to have noticed), and lead to the marriage task failing? When it didn't BB stepped in to prompt the fail?

In Drew's profile he is quoted as calling himself a social chameleon, and says he can schmooze any social situation. He was also Captain of the Drama Club at school, so he may be a bit of an actor. He did mention to Jade when they were milking the cow that he could not afford to be portrayed as jealous - so he is aware of projecting a particular image. I know he is being perceived as a total sweetie, and perfect boyfriend material, but he said in his profile "If you’re dating me, you’re kind of dating my mates, which is not always a good quality. I’ve gotten in trouble for that a lot.” - so he may actually be someone who puts his girlfriends second to his mates. Perhaps those attitudes were expected to cause some friction in the marriage.

Just some random musings, but I think the marriage task may have been planned to have a different effect on housemate dynamics than it did

To me it looked like she wanted to continue with the affection even though no one else was there....he immediately said that they needed to start fighting to look like a real couple. She quickly pulled away and i thought it was because she could sense the rejection....after that she seemed aloof to him in private...i thought it was because she felt rejected and completely switched off from him to save face. He became more interested after that and she made it clear she wasn't interested. Hmmmm i'm sure that was the vibe i was getting.

Yes, I saw it - I think it may have been the first night - and I agree that may have determined how Jade reacted to Drew after that

I have also thought of that but I doubt it - Drew was constantly trying to be affectionate in the days after that but she pushed away (and remember, we didn't see what happened after that - it cut out very quickly when she put her hand towards Drew)

True. I remember that at the time I thought "that's bad timing" - my impression was that he was about to say it at the same time she touched him, so it wasn't a reaction to her touching him, just coincidence (despite how it may have been interpreted by Jade ). But - who knows? I noticed in the scene last night when just Jade and Tully were in the bedroom and talking about Drew Jade said that she didn't think she had misread things. Initially I she was referring to Ed, but when I rewatched it the context seemed to indicate she was referring to Drew. Was she meaning that she may have misread Drew?

I don't see the chemistry tbh. You could see it between her and Drew though..

Ed is so bland imo, and is face isn't all that. He has big arm muscles, wow.
I find Drew to be the hottest one in there. Has an adorable personality, is toned. Oh, and his EYES >>>>>

I'm intrigued by this, because I don't see chemistry either - although they do seem to have a lot in common conversationally. On Confidential when they were showing each housemate asking a question and then another one answering it, Ed answered Jade's and commented that it was a good question and wanted to know who asked it - so I think they may connect on a mental level.

However Tully did make the comment to the girls in the kitchen that Ed and Jade were the house's assumed couple, but whether that is the vibe that the house has from being around them both or just Tully buzzing around like a busy little bee spreading mischief - I don't know.
