How about the person who has bad BO? Or breath? Perfume?
That all affects someone.
I am overweight and i know i dont spill sidewards.
Incomparable.
I really, really, hated Tahan in the first episode, maybe moreso than I did Tim. But her being honest with Tully, voting during the marriage and just her in general really made me see her in a new light. Anyone else feel the same?
Yes I'm a huge fan of hers from the start.
Notice a fair few followed the crowd too, at the start it was Xavier, Tahan and Tully.

.

Incomparable to who?
I hate bad body odour and strong perfume. It affects my journey and makes me feel sick.
Me being overweight doesnt affect anyone as i dont spill sideward and i look a lot thinner than I am.

Why is it ok for someone to make someone else sick and make their trip bad?

Yeah that's fine, but it isn't really appropriate to what Tahan was speaking about.

I doubt she was talking about your level of overweightness then. I think she was more likely refereng to people who take up two seats (or at least more than one seat).

What do you think of that? If you take up more than one seat should you pay extra?

Lots of people think this way. I travel heaps for work and can't stand sitting next to a person who literally can't keep their elbows inside their own arm rests due to their weight. If you can't keep to within your seat boundaries then you should pay for an extra seat. It's not being rude, I don't care if someone is fat I just care if I have an elbow sticking into my ribs an entire flight.

I'm hearing you sister!

Every time I fly, I get stuck beside an overweight person. Nothing more offensive than the feeling of a perfect strangers fat oozing from the constraints of their chair onto yours. It is horrible.

I think it was a fair call on Tahan's part. If you can't fit in your seat, you need to buy two.

Apparently Samoa Air has something called 'pay by weight' that sounds like a fair plan to me

I guess so..but how would they police that?
Same with people with too much carry on..that annoys the frak out of me.

The difference with extra carry on is you can squeeze extra carry on into the overhead apartment, sadly that can't be said about a fat persons mass of cellulite, which is oozing from their seat onto yours.

If I had to choose between the two, I would rather a strangers carry on touching me as opposed to their soft flabby body parts any day of the week.

you wouldnt want to be pregnant, someone with muscles or tall would you?

I am 178cm and when I was full term pregnant I weighed 76kg.

It is about a healthy weight range, tall, muscle bound or pregnant women should still fall in that.

There is always an exception to that rule, and you can accommodate the exception, it only becomes a problem when an exception become a majority like we see with obesity and everyday Australians.

Ive never ever seen someone so fat that their guy or bum spills sideways into my seat! I always sit in 1A or 1C on every flight i do..never in 1B or any other seat..so maybe i dont get to see it. I just find it hard to imagine that anyone could be that large. Im a big guy and i dont spill sidwards..Ive sat next to big people and they havent either. I have had arms touch me sometimes..but a fat arm is the same as a skinny arm..so no difference there.

I think im glad i sit in either of those two seats!

The last two times I have flown, I have been seated beside an obese person, the first a woman and the second a man. I could physically feel the flesh of their thigh pressing onto mine, and it is a horrible feeling.

I know this is just mean, but in the case of the woman, she ate all the way from Brisbane International to Fiji, so not only did I have the oozing of the thigh, I had the crunch crunch crunch as she consumed more calories which will be converted to ooze.

I am 120KG. Ive got big arms ( muscle ), solid legs and a belly. Now i spill forwards, but not sideways. Im incredibly self concious and i would notice this. Now ive seen people who are 20kg lighter..but are shorter, flabbier and do have fat spilling all over the place. People like this may or may not impact on the person beside them.

But if we were to charge fat people then i would pay more even though i was less of an inconvenience. Even if i lost the belly i would still be 20 KG over weight because of my muscle tone.
Then we would be punishing people for being healthy.

It would be good to stop anyone being inconvenienced. I would like to ban anyone wearing perfume or garlic eaters....

But i dont think that could happen like i dont think there is a workable solution for overweight people.

The best you could do is try to move someone to spare seat

The facts are if you lost your belly you would be reducing your chances of contracting diabetes, which is a chronic disease and its negative effects are simply choking out health system.

Healthy people are never punished for being healthy, in fact they feel the benefits of being in a healthy weight range every day. It will be represented through a healthy heart, low cholesterol and a general feeling of well being.

Why do I always hear the other housemates mispronounce her name? Tee-arne, Tee-haan, Tae-haan...

^^ oh you beat me to it. There can be no other reason they get your name wrong.

I noticed that they were calling Rohan Rah-han to make it rhyme with Tahan too.
