Ben the biggest game player in the house!

He was crying because he thought he wasn't part of the group and he thought that they'd go against him for not joining them in the diary room. As much as it was un-necessary I thought it was TV Gold! My mum was in tears from laughing so hard. This show is a social experiment so it's fascinating seeing such different characters react to certain situations.

So how is that different than Tahan losing her clothing? Why no tears for her?

I feel like he was really crying about feeling like an outcast in the house over the last week and not feeling very close to the other hm's and seeing everyone but him on the safe side go into the diary room to vote against the sham marriage heightened the feeling to the point of breaking down.

I'm watching the show now and Ben was so performing and faking. He clearly has a strategy. Notice he was careful to try and frame his position in the house himself. As being an outside and not one of the group. Ignoring the entire fact that he wasn't the only one who didn't go along with it. He clearly saw this as a moment to try and establish the role he wants to play. Get some attention and some sympathy.

Then after, when he went to speak to the photos. It seemed fake, but he started speaking and then all of a sudden made sure to remind the camera's who the pictures were of. That's not normal behavior. If you speak to a picture for comfort, you don't introduce who the picture is of. It was so done for the cameras.

Then when everyone was in the room comforting he took it as another opportunity to push the sympathy angle by saying he feels the house thinks he did it to go against them. Come on, there's no way in hell anyone in the house was thinking that or that he could think that. It doesn't even match up with how he was describing the situation to BB. It was so done for attention and sympathy.

Always be weary about those trying to define their own role in the house, especially through their own descriptions of it.

The talking to the photos does seem a bit gimmicky. The tears though, I would give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

Why do we have to see him talking to the pictures anyway.

I want to hear conversations between HMs in full. The conversations are cut off quicker than when Ben talks to his pictures.

Did he say to them that he doesn't want them to think he was deliberately going against them by not going. It's quite different.

But the poor idiot boy talking to pictures in thrilling TV drama!

I thought he was sad because it confirmed his belief that he doesn't fit in with the group and he is worried that he is going to be friendless in the house.

He said similar stuff to big brother, that he was an outsider.

Then in the bedroom to people he said to some housemates that he was upset because he thinks the house mates will think he was deliberately going against them and didn't want them to dislike him because of that.

But he wasn't the only one to stay.

Or Tully.
I don't know how I feel about Ben....the full on bawling about something like that made me uncomfortable, he also took attention away from Drew and Jade doing that.
Jury is still out.

Same same....I do find Ben endearing for most of the time, but when he starts talking to Mummy and Nan it freaks me out...and really not sure why he was so distressed over the Drade reveal...and not sure it warranted a big sobbing outburst...

He certainly was composed during his nominations, which I found very surprising...I thought he would be a blubbering hot mess..

I'm starting to think he is an evil little shit.

His noms were nasty, especially re Heidi, when I have seen footage of her doing the exact opposite and comforting the little shit when he was doing his attention seeking sobbing.

And noted he's bloody confident enough to claim his bed as his territory, with a crowd re-organising, walked straight thru the mayhem.
He's also entirely comfortable with his sexuality/flirting/and goo ga-ing, and innuendo.

Has he even noticed his surrogate Mummy is gone?

They couldn't get an old granny to enter, so we have an old granny in a 30 year old man's body.

I see your POV and I initially thought the same thing. Then I remembered that we are being shown so little of the HMs that perhaps she said something to make him feel that way prior to the bedroom crying incident and she felt bad or was misunderstood or something. Due to selective editing I won't want to jump to rash conclusions.
