...you're right Mud Cake incredible stuff indeed... hey... has anybody been to/seen (in another state/country) or going to see in Sydney this?...

DRWHO_EVENT_570x320_F.jpg

...it looks pretty smecky... I asked my wife if she wanted to go see it with me at the Sydney Opera House and she said... she said... she actually said... **sniff**...

"No thanks... I'm not interested in that crap.. you know that... thanks anyway!"...

...I was really brave and didn't cry in front of her... crap?... crap?... CRAP???... CRAP???????...

...I said something along the lines of... "Oh... okay... fair enough... you don't like Dr Who... fine... but... CRAP?... CRAP???... it's not crap... don't call it that it's a great show!" I said indignantly...

"You can go if you want to but I'd be bored and wouldn't enjoy it"... she replied...

...needless to say I'm not going to bother to go and see it... (I asked others but nobody wanted to fork out the money to go see it)... after being with her for 35 years I've never realised that she didn't like Dr Who!... anyway I began divorce proceedings the very next day... (just joking)...

...my wife did reconsider and offered to go see it with me about 20 minutes later but I'd lost the enthusiasm about it and couldn't be arsed to go...

...there are some Youtube clips of the show on here...

Does anyone know when the Christmas episode airs here? I assume it's not Christmas day like it is in the UK because our Christmas day is earlier than theirs...isn't it?

...I'm not too sure at the moment wynter but I remember seeing in an article on this website...

http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2012/08/doctor-who-to-air-online-in-australian-within-an-hour-of-the-bbc/

...in August of this year it that said the ABC were going to show the new episodes of this series within an hour of their screening in the UK... to quote from this website...

Last week we brought you the news that Whovians would have to wait a week for new episodes of Doctor Who to air locally, but the national broadcaster, ABC, has come out of nowhere to please fans everywhere: the new episodes will screen online via iView within an hour of them airing in the UK. This is how you beat piracy.

The ABC said in a blog post:

ABC TV is thrilled to announce that in true time-lord style, the first episode of Season 7 of Doctor Who, “Asylum of the Daleks”, will now premiere on iview Sunday, 2 September from 5.10am EST immediately after its UK launch on 1 September.

The new series of Doctor Who, including “Asylum of the Daleks”, then starts on ABC1 the following Saturday, 8 September at 7.30pm EST, and is also repeated on ABC2 from Tuesday, 11 September at 9.30pm EST.

...I'm guessing that the ABC will do the same for the Christmas show too... we can only hope eh?...

...still on Dr Who... on the UK Channel on Foxtel at 5:10 PM Sunday there is a Dr Who special called 'Dr Who at the proms' that is probably the show that is going to be in Sydney that I was talking about in the post above... it will most probably great fun to watch... just thought I'd let everyone know... cheers.

Mr Stickyfingers, it isn't a guess, it was confirmed on the Doctor Who News Page, the source being the ABC website itself.
Can't link to it directly but you can see it in a banner here http://www.doctorwhonews.net/ (look to the right).

P.S.. the proms show is excellent, they showed one alongside Doctor Who on Boxing Day a few years ago.

What I am willing to guess at is that they might stream it on ABC iview on Xmas Day itself, similar to what they did with the episodes from Asylum Of The Daleks onwards, but it will be on television 24 hours after the UK.

Thanks for the info Meglos and Stickyfingers. My sons asked me when it was on and I had no clue, except that I was pretty sure it wouldn't be on Christmas night. I'm glad I don't have to tell them they have to wait an extra week. This is the first year they've really been into Dr Who and I think they're more excited about the Christmas episode than they are about Christmas itself..lol

Thanks again. :)

...I'm not sure what to make of this... it's cleverly done... cheers.

Oh my, I think I'm in love - Clara/Oswin is even better 2nd time around, she is adorable and is absolutely going to be Matt's Rose,,,Moffatt did well.

Loved it totally.

"WHY ARE YOU CRYING?"

Why am I crying? With joy, at the latest chapter of the greatest story ever told.

Simply MAGICAL.

...Jenna-Louise Coleman was great as Clara... brilliant episode and good storyline... alas... I have only one criticism... the new inside of the Tardis is horrendous!... it's so plain and boring... I think the Dr Who people have got it all wrong with this version... I hope that they revamp it to be a lot more 'Dr Whoishy'... I'm going to miss Amy and Rory methinks... cheers.

...and I so enjoyed the 'Dr Who at the Prom' show on UK TV on Fox too... a great double whammy for me tonight in regards to Dr Who... I've got a few taped shows from Dr Who that I've recorded today on UK Fox... I'll be watching them for the rest of the night... cheers.

I saw a bit of the Foxtel episodes today too, particularly the rousing of the Doctor's friends in "A Good Man Goes To War" and the amazing "Wedding Of River Song" events.

One tiny criticism of the new episode - the kiss. Must every female the Doctor ever meets have a crush on him? I loved the Catherine Tate "mates" relationship.
