Cool present Coops. Three is plenty for enough eggs for a family of four. Mine love all scraps (not chicken), even egg shells to make their own eggs strong. Special treat, grated cheese, you will get them to eat this out of your hand. The scratch mix from local produce is good for them, and they love potatoes, all the leftovers from a baked dinner they will enjoy. Cheap cat dry food (not the chicken ones) is also a good filler. Haunt the "seconds" table at your local supermarket (yes, I have been known to fight people off for an out-of-date lettuce or cucumber) and gather all the outside lettuce leaves that other people pull off. Kids will have a ball with them and they really aren't a lot of trouble. If you get a fox problem, I will post-pack a packer to help out.
I hurt my back at playgroup ouchies.
I love having a teenage son. I love my daughter too but teen boys are such an interesting specimen. I just got shown a gob full of chewed up popcorn.
I have voltaren gel, that stuff is the ducks guts. I can walk and sit and move ok it's just some movements like bending hurt.
I like popcorn too. Just not chewed up second hand popcorn.
Thanks bonnieIt's funny you talk about lettuce, cos the other week Mr coops harvested his first lettuce crop, brought it inside all proud. I felt it & thought geeze that's a nice weight for the size. Rinse it off & peel off an outside leaf, had a bug, thought ok, not so bad, i'll wash him off, peel another layer off & it's full of worms & grubs!!! eew! Mr coops went to check the rest & they were just a bad. He was devo. Pitty we didn't have the chooks then, cos they would of have enough lettuce for a week!
I will keep the post-packed packer in mind if any sly foxes move into town![]()

I hear you. We had a couple of years there where it was every night - two bands, private lessons for music, soccer practice or Oz Tag or swimming depending on the time of year, weekend sport juggled with band performances. I honestly don't know how I did it. MrB has always worked 6 days, I worked 5 and a half and we still managed to do it all. No grandparents living close enough to help arghhhhh!Ungrateful little sods hardly pick up their instruments any more, but they still say they are glad they did it all.haha my mum and stepdad do archery, I was going to get Mr to do it but hubs put his foot down. We were spending thousands on the kids activites at the time and hubs said no more. They don't need to do something every single day of the week.
Keeps them out of trouble IMO. Mr 15 is burnt out though, he only does Under 16 hockey, Under 18 hockey and will play mens div 1 next year. He even quit summer indoor hockey after two weeks. He puts his foot down lol. I can't help enjoying watching my kids do stuff.
