Estelle appreacian thread (i can't spell)

Did people vote like nuts after they showed percentages or just a bit or not at all?

I'm trying to think about it, and where Estelle is left now.

The motivation for Ben and Layla fans seems like it would have been more. Especially for Layla fans as she was in danger.

If Estelle fans were a bit complacent and didn't feel the immediate threat. She still may have a chance. The proceeding week she got the most fans by a decent amount. Ben and Layla fans got a shock and closed the gap. Now it's back to about an even starting points. Maybe the Estelle fans that got her the lead on sunday night can push her through the victory.

HIS last-minute canoodling might have cost him a spot in tomorrow night's grand final, but Big Brother evictee Michael Beveridge has no regrets. [bollocks ::p]

The Brisbane copywriter and former Emerald man copped flack both from his housemates and the public for his hook-up with Melbourne law student Estelle Landy during his final days in the house.

The move hurt the feelings of fellow evictee Zoe Westgarth, who was very vocal about her crush on the 26-year-old.

"You make your bed and you've got to sleep in it, and Estelle gets to sleep in the bed too and apparently that's the issue," he said.

"I'm an idiot in the outside world so I was bound to be an idiot in the Big Brother House.

"I've never been known to make a good decision when it comes to women."

While the Big Brother love triangle has been broken, Beveridge's bromance with Josh Moore is about to be reignited.

The pair is sure to be spotted hanging out on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane after tomorrow's final.

"We've got tickets to the cricket on Sunday," Beveridge said.

"He's staying at my house until the 16th. We've had glimpses and loving embraces. I had to kick Ava off him, but that's all right.

"I can't wait for this whole thing to be over and I can sit down and have a beer (with Josh)."

He believes Benjamin Norris will win tomorrow's final, despite Landy's strong public support throughout the show.

The 32-year-old is up for the $250,000 grand prize against British beautician Layla Subritzky and Landy.

"He's picked up my fans, he's picked up Zoe's fans and Joshy's fans love Ben," he said.

"Ben's got some really good plans for the money to help him move ahead with his life.

"He obviously wants to have a family, and if having the money will give him the financial security to do that then it's one of the most positive things anyone could get out of a reality show."

The popular editorial line is he did it for strategy and fell from a great height, i.e. the purported genius is actually very stupid. So humiliating. Personally I think he moved on Stell as he said, to get over his ex and snog an unattainable girl. He used her either way.

Even though it would have been better if "psycho Zoe" was played up in this editorial, it works if she's painted as the innocent victim. His "Ben to win" line just makes him look well like the "monster" he always feared he'd be portrayed as. He is with a girl for strategy then when it fails he barracks for the other team.

No doubt Michael ripped Zoe a new arsehole as soon as he got off stage. Bummer. No cameras...
 
Ava absolutely adored Estelle so be interesting to see that little foursome exchange pleasantries once (victorious) Stella's out. Ava must be furious about Michael's behaviour.

Also, sweet revenge that Michael's first day out is the Melbourne Cup.... horsies on the mind.

Depends on us. I have no desire to give up. Gotta keep voting and see how the chips fall. Looking at Facebook, Ben seems to have the most support, but not by as much as you would think.

My own take is that Michael became quite smitten with Estelle... until she let him know in no uncertain terms (in front of everyone) that she didn't see him as bf material - didn't even want another kiss. When a bloke hears that from someone he's fond of it's time to move on and blank her out as if nothing ever happened! (Not that I'm blaming Estelle - I'm just explaining things from M's perspective.)
 
I agree that he was smitten but they had a shared "nothing happened" line... after last night's footage when Michael lost it with Ben and realised Ben put him up to that "be nice to Zoe" don't confront.

My comment is about his perception in the public now. He thought he had a media career. Can't see it now.

I also think Michael was smitten, but I also think Estelle was too. She didn't say she didn't want to kiss him again, she said she didn't want to kiss him, which could have been her way of getting out of having to lie. She might have been thinking 'right now', making it the truth. Notice she didn't answer when Zoe asked if she ever had kissed Michael.
I think Michael is just weak, which has disappointed the hell out of me.

Tonight's daily show will have to have to cover the last day of Zoe and Michael in the house. They can't fill an hour with just the aftermath.

So we'll get more anti-estelle bitching. Apparently Michael said he wanted her to be evicted during the afternoon.

That'll help Estelle.

In the week leading up to Sunday Estelle was in the lead. Yeah it evened up after the percentages were shown. One must assume Ben and Layla fans voted like crazy. Estelle's fans probably held back. There was no pressing need to suddenly go made with the voting. So if that's true they'll probably once again be voting a lot.

Voting lines close 4pm tomorrow. So none of tomorrows show should alter the outcome. Estelle will come off good tonight. Things like her crying and upset while making Layla and Ben dinner. While they sit outside and bitch about her.


The one mystery factor is. What happens to Zoe and Michael voters. How much influence will they have? It's a big unknown.
 
I think Estelle needed M for comfort at a difficult time but no more than that. Again, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, but then M started falling for the 'tender trap' and when he realised his feelings probably weren't reciprocated he bailed out - because, as we all know, for a bloke to be seen as 'weak' is the biggest no-no of all, as has been made abundantly clear in just about every discussion about Michael!

I think they will skip straight to after the eviction as this season it seems once they are evicted they are no longer seen on the DS thereafter. Also Im not holding my breath for any bitching footage, I have a feeling they want the playing field fairy even so wont want to show something like Ben and Layla voicing their unhappiness. I expect the episode to be as "happy smiling people holding hands" as possible. They WILL however show Ben saying that Estelle has put up with a lot in the house because it makes them both look good. The feeling of tonight will be all 3 are great people. That way they get more money across the board.
 
Yes I think so too. They will serve up loads of packages. HMs laughing, HMs crying, HMs being doofuses...

The difference is, normally they have a shorter daily show because of nominations. There is also more housemates, more things happening. That isn't going on.

They could try for a happy house, but I don't know.

I was just joking with you.... seeing you had been saying you didn't think Estelle would win!

Glad you haven't given up on her. I hope we all give as much as we can.
