Actually it's a pretty commonly acknowledged social response/dismissal that's been discussed and mocked often, so not merely my opinion at all. I'll remind you that a lot of the girls didn't get along with Charne, and she was quick to say "Maybe they're threatened by me" as a way to justify to herself why she wasn't fitting in. It's always easier on your ego if you can convince yourself that there isn't REALLY anything wrong with you, in fact everything is so RIGHT about you that other people can't stand it!!! except, that's delusional, and people who say it about themselves are delusional and people who say it in reference to others are just as much. I like Estelle but there are many aspects to her personality that would be get annoying, especially if you were living with her 24/7. To chalk up dislike as "they're just jealous" is pathetically and laughably dismissive. A lot of the guys in the house can't stand Ray, is that because of jealousy too? PUHLEASE.

It's a case of bandwagoning: people had a very real and valid gripe with Estelle in the first couple of weeks, and once it was noticed it was picked on and talked about ad nauseum. Now that Estelle is making an effort to fix those flaws, people still want to dismiss her using the same criticism as before, even if it's no longer valid. Because if they continue to point it out they create an Other in Estelle, and by creating an Other they in turn feel more comfortable and secure with THEIR position in the group. It's pretty standard social psychology that has nothing to do with jealousy. I can see how Angie's pathetic ass gets envious of the attention Estelle gets from Josh, but to paint every girl in the house under the same brush because of ONE example? Nah.

i feel for estelle a lot more, she is being targeted by the popular groups, because she is on her own and is not afraid to be on her own. angie and layla, josh and michael, ben and sarah, not only are 3 clique groups in the house, but from time to time they form the big clique group to bully others.

stacey skirts around unwilling to upset any of the 6, zoe is desperate to be included by angie and layla, brad, well he is irrelevant, everyone dislike him now, george is invisible

that only leaves estelle and ray, they both dont back down, dont suck up, hence targeted by the popular 6. i reckon they should form alliance and get brad on board during nom nom,

i've already started cringing my phone bill when estelle is up for evic. i am torn this week, leave brad in, at least he is still nice to estelle, but sarah would def give the nom power to ben, who may send a few points to estelle. if leave sarah in, brad will most likely to give the power to estelle, might save her ass again, but one less friendly person in the house for her.

argh, those bitches. zoe must have realised the short cut to be accepted by "THE" group is to belittle estelle. she's lost my vote there.

Omg I actually feel so upset for Stella! These girls are being so nasty! I can't believe Angie can say "she lost her chance to form friendships with Michael and josh because she was with Ryan, so she should back off?" What? You cant form a friendship if you have a boyfriend/partner/make out buddy? what a joke!! Is she meant to just sit in a corner on her own?

I have known stella for years and she is one of the loveliest people I know. She would never intentionally upset anyone. It's just not her personality! She isn't bitchy, nasty, slutty etc, she hasnt got a mean bone in her body! And it's probably because she isn't nasty that she is being picked on.

I get that she can be over the top, so I do understand that the housemates can find her annoying etc but this is just uncalled for pure hatred.

I'm glad that Stacey stuck up for her this morning and told them to stop bitching about her behind her back because she must feel so horrible knowing that they are all doing it.

^Yeah, I try and think of any so called gossiping or whispering about others by Estelle and that which was in a negative light that we've been made aware of, and I can't think of any!

So there isn't anything for me to look at her and think what a bad person she is that she must get out, but if the way things are shown on tv come across as mutleyp said I'm glad we don't have evict votes.

Still I worry for her in noms next week, and am glad for Stacey too because as well as the moment you mentioned there was also another time during the daily show she didn't join in with Ben when he said he didn't like Estelle.

yeah the teens! more than enough hate posts on FB. they dont seem to use their own judgement, either follow blindly or too impatient to go through all the details, watch 1 min of angie propaganda and declare they all hate estelle. :(

Prepare because Im sure its going to be edited to highlight the triangle and because she already shared time with Ryan she will look like the baddie, be happy to come back and apologise to you tomorrow night or monday night if Im wrong, but I think thats how its going to be shown/seen.
