Ray 2012 Appreciation Society

Ray is a hypocrite, he bitches about Ben behind his back, but doesn't have the balls to say it to his face.

Ben does that too. He's bitched about everyone except Stacey I think.

Ray may or may not have the balls to say it, but everything is accepted due to his irresistible charm, wit, and sexy hot bod.

Um, guys... look at our man, look at those arms, look at that strength!

...now do it naked.

Ray is a hypocrite, he bitches about Ben behind his back, but doesn't have the balls to say it to his face.

That is SO warped!

Ben is the hypocrite here. He bitches about every damn housemate behind their backs and has probably only twice had the balls to say it to their face (after bitching on and on). Now I honestly do not believe there is anything wrong with bitching about someone and not confronting them about it, not every issue needs to end up in a confrontation. Sometimes people just need to vent, I get that. So his hypocrisy doesn't stem from the fact that he bitches about people behind their backs and not to their faces, it's from the fact that he said to Ray “Why, when you’re so opinionated, would you not come and have that conversation with me?”.

Clearly, Ben doesn't practice what he preaches.

But he does, he has bitched about Bradley and Ray but then actually had a conversation about them about what's bothering him. Bradley according to the live updates, always seems to putting Ryan down behind his back and we have just learned that Ray was talking about Ben behind this back but didn't want to have a conversation with him, the same with George who said he hasn't spoken to Ben because he doesn't want to be nominated. I would think the other housemates are in the wrong here.

Boys, you do realize that Ray called Benjamin a poof? Give it up because your never going to be washing and ironing Raymonds tighty whities.

Yeah, but notice how I said "and has probably only twice had the balls to say it to their face (after bitching on and on)". There's your Ray and Bradley examples.
Now what about all the bitching he does about every other housemate? He uses colourful language to hide the fact that he's really just being a snarky little bitch, and seems to have an opinion about every one else. Why, if he is so opinionated, doesn't he just go and say it all to their faces?

Ben is in the wrong because he tries to make out that he is perfect and knows how to form relationships. Clearly not. He has talked about most, if not all of them, behind their backs yet has a tantrum after nominations and demands to know who nominated him and why. He's like a bratty, 11 year old girl.

From the live streams, he has told all the others when he has bitched about them & has had one on one chats with them etc.

Ben has said, he isn't perfect & being in the house has made him realise that he needs to grow up.

The ones that nominated him, mentioned the water throwing, not about him bitching etc.

Yeah, he's fallen way down my list but really that's just another of a couple of reason tbh.

And? Ben was being a whinger with that one....considering he went ahead and called Michael a bogan.
What's good for the geese isn't for the gander apparently.

Douchebag, hope his bitchy little arse is booted this Sunday.

What's wrong with using poof? It's just a name.
Look, I'm not willing to turn this thread into a political debate, but there is plenty wrong with that word. It's no different to the effects of calling somebody a "ni**er".

Or no different to calling somebody a dickhead. It doesn't bother me .

Seriously?

The "N" word: used to imply an individual is 'subhuman', a savage etc... Thousands (if not millions) of people slaved, killed, persecuted, lynched, treated as animals, etc.. over hundreds of years just because of their physical appearance and colour of their skin.

Poof: a childish derogative slur used on people who are attracted to the same sex. No insinuation of biological/ethnic, physical, intellectual inferiority or anything of the sort.

The attempt by the left to equate racism with homosexual discrimination (homophobia) is one of my biggest pet peeves.

It's a bit like arguing that peadophilia is comparable to homosexuality because they're both psychological 'diseases'.

It should go without saying that it's offensive in the extreme.

I only just caught up on a bunch of eps, but is Big Brother trying to make Ray fat? That would be one thing he would hate lol leaves the house 20KG heavier.

Do you? None of us ever would have guessed:rolleyes:

I have no idea why we give certain words so much power. They are just words.

Why did you censor the word nigger? It is a horrible word which represents a brutal time in history, but it is a word and should be acknowledged, so we don't repeat the same mistakes. Don't give it power by censoring it.

I don't like being called names but I would rather be called a poof than an infected labia with an offensive smelling discharge. I would rather be called a fuckhead than a carbuncle filled scrotum sack.

They are just words.

I am not sure you get to dictate which word is "worse".

It comes down to the individual who is receiving it.

I would have assumed the word nigger to a black person would feel very similar to a homosexual being called a poof. Both words were used to cause upset and hurt, and segregate, therefore result in the same outcome.
