PS: There was no mention of "sex scenes" in the rating given just before the movie started, but rather just a mention of violence, and the wording used gave the impression that the violence was of a lesser degree than the kind warned about in the lasted "Friday the 13th" movie ...
I saw Watchmen today too. Ders, you really were shocked by what you saw? The humping scene went on a little long, but really, not that shocking. It wasn't the glowing blue alien winkie that got you was it?
I little slow going, a little too talky, but then that's what the Comic is too.
As a fan of the comic (okay, "Graphic Novel"), I got really into it, especially Rorschachs time in prison.
Friday the 13th is rated 'R' here so I would expect it to be more violent, though the advisory also says "some graphic sexual content". I'll find out on the weekend lol. I have a weakness for bad slasher pics.
Watchmen MA15+
(Strong violence and sex scene)
WATCHMEN is the long-awaited and highly anticipated adaptation of Alan Moore’s landmark award-winning graphic novel. A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, the film is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the “Doomsday Clock” – which charts the USA’s tension with the Soviet Union – is permanently set at five to midnight
Underworld 3: Rise Of The Lycans MA15+
(Strong violence)
Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy revisit their roles from UNDERWORLD in this prequel to the horror-action hybrid. Sheen (THE QUEEN) stars as Lucian, a werewolf who battles vampire Viktor (Nighy, the Pirates of the Caribbean films), despite his love for Viktor's daughter Sonja. Kate Beckinsale might have departed the series, but fellow dark-haired beauty Rhona Mitra (DOOMSDAY) fills fans desires for a sexy heroine in her role as Sonja

derspatz said:Oh, and as for the regular full frontal male nudity (ironically "blue", and actually not offensive in terms of the character), I imagine that was able to get past the censors because it in fact was totally CGI; the actor wore a white suit with dot references, and a CGI character overlayed after the fact.
Which equally ironically, would make that particular actor the MOST clothed of all the actors when doing the actual shooting. Heh.
And why call porn 'pron'? I don't get it.
Ohh so do I Rav, they had A Nightmare on Elm Street today on movie one, i still love it! Though 4 is my favourite
Nightmare On Elm Street. That was a good movie why remake it?
ikr!! or Friday the 13th for that matter. It won't be the same without Englund.
OT, But the one I'm really NOT looking forward too is the MTV Rocky Horror remake![]()
Watchmen
Wow, really an amazing film. I had gotten a bit worried in the last couple days. Got the so so impressions from some people, and while not reading reviews had seen some people absolutely detested it.
Well I was blown away. Such a compelling film. It really is on a different level from other recent excellent comic book movies like the dark knight. I really was just memorised and yeah, one of the best films i've seen in ages. It's nice to see a comic book movie, which is serious, adult, and is a comic book movie, not trying to be too grounded by being less comic book.
A friend in Ireland saw this movie, and said something about a blue penis appearing a lot.
Saw a trailer for Friday the 13th on telly last night. Really, you have to say: done. to. death. Still, maybe for a younger generation, who knows, though one suspects the suspense would have been a bit more meaningful in 1980.
