FLUSH 2008 DOWN THE DUNNY

..........The only good thing this year was getting engaged to the girl of my dreams but everything else was crap. Family and friends getting divorced, The economy shitting itself, house prices taking a dive, friends kicking the bucket oh and how could i forget the greatest shows in the world Big Brother and Download getting canned by Channel Ten. I am packaging up this year in a box and setting fire to it, then putting its ashes in a bottle and burying it in the back yard where my dog religiously takes a crap. Thanks for letting me release..........

Big Brother romance over for Bree, Bodie

SOME of the romances spawned on the set of the TV reality phenomenon Big Brother have outlasted the show, which was axed last year.

But you can scratch Bree Amer and Bodie Czeladka from the list.

The couple announced their split on Facebook last Friday, after word had got out several weeks ago.

Bree, ex-host of BB Friday Night Games and a co-host on Mike Goldman's ill-fated Download, hooked up with Bodie after he became a housemate in 2007.

Czeladka famously hit host Gretel Killeen in the head with a rubber chicken during the BB 2007 finale.
 
I've posted this in the Rosemeadow thread in News & Current Affairs, but this article mentions a Ben Archbold, wondering if it's the same Ben from '03?

Yes, Ben Archbold was the former copper future lawyer in BB03.

Wasn't he in trouble for peeing in public at some point?

But Ms Bandera said she intends to sue the police force.

She claims she had dropped her fork and had her hands behind her head when she was shot. She remains in a stable condition, with a bullet lodged in her spine after it passed through her liver. Another bullet passed through her chest.

Late yesterday her lawyer, former police officer Ben Archbold, sent a letter to the acting Deputy Commissioner for Operations, Dennis Clifford, alleging that the investigation into the shooting was a "cover-up".

"It beggars belief that the training of NSW police officers has reached a point where the appropriate action to be taken by half-a-dozen police officers when confronted by a small middle-aged woman holding a cocktail fork is to shoot her twice, including once in the back," the letter read.

A panel of eye-candy experts have gathered in Sydney’s Woolloomooloo today to pick out 50 finalists for the 2009 CLEO Bachelor of the Year.

........ The list of the nation's hottest eligible bachelors included stars of sport, music and TV as well as lesser-known entrants, such as an environmentalist.
Popular entrants included singer Axle Whitehead, Underbelly stars Damien Walshe Howling, Alex Dimitriades and Gyton Grantley, as well as Packed To The Rafters actors including Hugh Sheridan, Angus McLaren and George Houvardas.

Sneaky Sound System's Damon Downey, DJ Kaz James, AFL player Lance Franklin, Seven Network sports presenter Ben Damon and chef Alex Kearns were other favourites.

Former Home And Away star Beau Brady, Australia's Next Top Model stylist Jonathan Pease and former Big Brother contestant Gaelen Walker also split opinion.........

And I wonder what Gaelen did to be included in that list - I find it hard to imagine him on any list that includes Alex Dimitriades.
