I think the things shown are a bit too good for the cameras - the people I've seen that talk in their sleep talk about irrelevant nonsense things. Travis is saying all his catch phrases (promoting himself) and things that might impact his fellow housemates eg. saying things of concern about Rory - to get on his good side with Rory.

I'm undecided and I really don't care if it's fake or not. It was a funny little segment and it made me laugh. If he is fake, he's done it 24/7 since he's been in there, maybe he deserves to win because he's been pretty convincing. I don't have a favourite, like other years, I really don't care who wins.

I disagree. I think Travis is everything he appears to be but the layers in his personality are only beginning to be seen by some people. A lot of viewers have been so busy hating him for his differences that they couldn't see that there was more to him than his possimism.
Ummm...to create an endearing persona the public will support, and perhaps lay the foundation to post show TV/Radio career options. It's so obvious, even an infant could join the dots.
Whether Travis is fake or not - no longer matters to me. I'm starting to hate him.

It isn't just the sleep talking, but Travis's entire performance in the house that is cynically being performed not only to win, but to gain a post show career.
The sleep talking is just a bit of extra kudos that any fan of the show knows will receive guaranteed air time. Past housemates have been highlighted sleep talking. Bree for instance had some hilarious nocturnal fits. Travis knows this, and is staging sleep talks.
