You do know that Australia doesn't have explicit freedom of speech in any constitutional or statutory declaration of rights.

Sure, I am also aware of the High Court decision which implies it. I don't remember mentioning a right.
 
It's scary to see people actually agreeing with Sonia...

From an area with a large Muslim demographic, and a generally ethnic/mixed race population, it saddens me to see someone with a national pedestal like Sonia say such ignorant things when I live in a community with such people who love our country and just want to live happily in peace while all this shit is being thrown at them.

True enough. I think people should be able to speak freely but that doesn't mean they should be free from criticism and/or ridicule, or further discourse about what they've said.
