Hup!
I wonder how Ben would react if he was told he was going to be treated like a second-class citizen for another 3 years?

Don't think Tully will be needing that same
Sex marriage any time Soon. In sayin that the country should be sending the new
PM their views on the issue. Hell he has a gay sister for christs sake. It's bizarre to me that he takes this stance against the issue

Look i'll let you in on a secret. Krudd never gave two shits about gay marriage, he simply said he did as a last ditch effort to win votes.
Support for gay marriage is up to about 75% now in Australia. I wouldn't say I support gay marriage but I have NEVER had an issue with gay marriage and would be happy to see the laws change. Krudd is a piece of steaming shit who went against his own beliefs just to get votes.
If Krudd got back in there in no way of you could say gay marriage was 100% going to get through.
When the Libs fuck you over, you'll know the difference.
How is Ben being treated like a second class citizen? Who has defined that class? Most countries in the world dont have gay marriage...are you saying every single gay in those places are second class citizens? What makes a second class citizen? Someone who isnt allowed to do what another person is?
Im sure there are hundreds of laws that allow one group to do something and bars another from doing the same. I am talking world wide that is.
And why should Abbot support Gay marriage? It isnt something he believes in..are you saying he should compromise his beliefs? Wouldnt that make him a liar? He would become a liar who cant stick to his guns.
Me..i dont care either way who marries who...im not against it, im not for it..let people do what they want. I wont march for it, i wont sign petitions for it..but i wont fight against it either. If Tony is against, well, good for him. If he changes his mind..well good for him again. You can never please anyone
although like Bush he may be dolt when it comes to foreign affairs Abbott is a Rhodes Scholar with a masters in politics and philosophy and i think making the comparison is doing him a disservice.
morally i disagree with almost everything he stands for....mostly because his morals are largely based off his Catholic faith.
Try the next 6 or 9 years.
It's not up to the PM to run the country based on his own beliefs, he should be running it the way the people if Australia want it run. Abbott thinks woman are second class citizens so marriage equality most definitely wouldn't be anywhere high on his agenda

"Thou shalt not bear false-witness" ... especially if it is only going to make folk think you're merely projecting your own attitudes (and/or self-loathing) onto a soul who, for all intents and purposes, certainly appears blameless of the slanderous charge you oh so cowardly leveled against him and without even the slightest bit of verifiable evidence to support your clearly baseless claim.

Tony Abbot said:The problem with the Australian practice of abortion is that an objectively grave matter has been reduced to a question of the mother’s convenience.
Tony Abbot said:I think it would be folly to expect that women will ever dominate or even approach equal representation in a large number of areas simply because their aptitudes, abilities and interests are different for physiological reasons
Tony Abbot said:I think there does need to be give and take on both sides, and this idea that sex is kind of a woman’s right to absolutely withhold, just as the idea that sex is a man’s right to demand I think they are both they both need to be moderated, so to speak
Tony Abbot said:What the housewives of Australia need to understand as they do the ironing is that if they get it done commercially it’s going to go up in price and their own power bills when they switch the iron on are going to go up, every year…

Tony Abbot said:Now, I know that there are some Aboriginal people who aren’t happy with Australia Day. For them it remains Invasion Day. I think a better view is the view of Noel Pearson, who has said that Aboriginal people have much to celebrate in this country’s British Heritage
Tony Abbot said:If we’re honest, most of us would accept that a bad boss is a little bit like a bad father or a bad husband … you find that he tends to do more good than harm. He might be a bad boss but at least he’s employing someone while he is in fact a boss.

DAVID LEYONHJELM: We’re a libertarian party, a small “l” liberal. So we’re in favour of low taxes, less bureaucracy, smaller government, less expenditure. So, the issues to us that matter are reducing taxes, government getting out of the way, getting out of your pocket and off your back. So we’ll support anything that reduces taxes and we’ll support anything that increases our liberty.
LEIGH SALES: So you would obviously then be in favour of the carbon tax being repealed?
DAVID LEYONHJELM: We would. We would definitely support that and the mining tax. But we are not in favour of the Coalition’s policy on Direct Action on climate change, for example. It’s just a large amount of money down a black hole which will achieve nothing.
