Love Island is airing after MAFS on Nine in 2023 which would kind of be similar times to when Big Brother airs. So unless they're moving BB's dates to later in the year that's going to fair well for Big Brother...
Where did you hear that? The latest season of Love Island Australia will air later this year. And Love Island Australia has been a flop in the ratings on linear TV so poses no threat to BB's already extremely low ratings.

C9 Upfronts made it sound like they're pushing it after MAFS, could be wrong though. And LI has a new release format by having episodes made available to stream on 9Now before they're broadcasted on Nine.Where did you hear that? Definitely airing this year, it was included in channel 9's promo for things still to come this year. As for the new release format, Love Island has always been more popular in streaming rather than TV ratings as the majority of it's targeted demographic barely watches TV anymore. Don't think it will make much of a difference.
