Why is it fair for Travis to be offered money?

Priya and Katie got the chance to take money because they were the Heads of House.
Lawson and Aisha won it in the Perfect Pair task. Jake got some from their decision.
Aisha was chosen for this twist because HoH Priya named her in response to a question from BB (albeit, not knowing of the twist).

This all seems fair ( but annoying that they keep fiddling with the cash). But, this latest twist where they add Travis to the dilemma doesn't seem fair at all. He wasn't chosen through any real method, he just gets the chance to take some money simply because he's smooching with Aisha? Am I the only one irritated by this?

Yeah, it's unfair. But not dissimilar to how Dion & Jason, Cat, Lawson and Sam were never offered any money when they were HoH!

For the sake of entertainment, of course they'd open the offer up to Travis and Aisha as a couple as they'd more likely agree to leave together. And it's more interesting that way.

And if they decide to take the money, it's a good shakeup because we weed out a coaster like Aisha and a proven-to-be-popular housemate like Travis.

Like, I wouldn't care about this whole thing it was Lawson and Cat being offered the money.

It's a show. Big Brother will maximise the potential by offering the cash to the right housemates. Would we care if he offered it to Leo and Marina? And that's already all the housemates not up for eviction, minus Skye.

What's worse... Travis getting $25,000 for doing nothing or Travis winning Big Brother?

I guess him winning is worse. Because I see him as the kind of guy who will quickly piss $25,000 up the wall at Crown Casino / Eve and then fizzle into obscurity. I just don't want him to get the winning fame / ego trip that he so desperately craves.

Aisha is a coaster in the BB house but Travis is a coaster in life - typical good looking footy bloke who has things easy in life and is handed opportunities on a platter that other people have to work hard for. "Boys club" situations etc. I probably sound like a whinger but there are certainly people out there like that.

What's worse is Travis getting $25K, because by the time all the money's divided up, there'll be nothing left for the winner.

Seriously. What about the game is fair? Things are offered to one person, and not to others all the time.

I thought it was great of Big Brother to up the ante like that. They'd be fools to not accept it.

If Travis wins then at least 'we' chose to give him the 180k. If he wins we have someone to blame.
Travis getting money for getting in Aisha's pants would suck, except for the fact that id never have to see him again.

Because, as I keep saying, it's about trying to guarantee a Skye win. It's not fair alright, not fair to Travis or Aisha. Why should they give up their chances of winning just because the producers like Skye?

It doesn't really give Skye a better shot at it. It reduces by two the number of people who wouldn't likely be nominating her, and increases the odds that she'd be nominated. It gives the other "side" of the house the numbers advantage.

It is a strange decision alright. Does nothing to attract me as a viewer. I don't really care what they do. If it was me, I'd take the money and run ( I need it ) but whatever anyone says, they are on their to get their 15mins of fame and don't think they will give it up that easily. Most of them also think that the longer they are on the telly, the more "famous" they will be when they get out. And that's what they want, that and just maybe the big prize at the end. Not that there will be much left, if bb keeps giving it away.

They should've offered Prisus the $50k had Aisha rejected it, but I'm glad BB are tempting Trasha because Prisus might get to stay longer.

They would never. They know Priya has a fairly loyal fan base and losing her would lose a lot of that fan base.

They should have offered Cat and Lawson the cash to leave, that would have created far more drama.
Both of them are going to get evicted for real shortly anyway.

Such as what opportunities?

I thought it was a huge twist what Big Brother did last night in offering him the money, temptation for the both of them, would have been the same if cat was there and they brought Lawson in the room.. I loved last nights episode!

What it comes down to is that nothing they do is fair. Why are the love stories getting all the air time? Why do they concentrate more on fights than all the fun they have? Travis and Aisha have had there time to shine and if they decide to leave then it is all good to my way of thinking since at least it will be their choice. These last couple of weeks we have seen more of Ryan, David, and Priya. I like what I have seen and would love to see more.
Also, I don't think they could have made that offer open to anyone who was nominated and if you think about who else is left then Aisha and Travis make the most sense.

Trav is one of the producer's favourites. He got a fake eviction (giving him even more airtime) and was portrayed as the victim during the Ryan fight. This whole self-evict ordeal also gives him more airtime and as a result, he will garner more votes in the future.
