What would reepbot say?

A moosen one would be funny. And Moosen could reply to earnest personal dilemmas with a series of bemused moose pics.
But that would up to Moosen and Angela to grant approval.
"Dear Reepbot" I think has legs.
To overuse a meme

ok.

dear reepbot it is!

and a dear mooseface one if mooseface agrees!

lol!

mooseface deserves her own thread i reckon.
I think so too.
But Mooseface might have to ask Angela for permission.
Aha!
What about ask Angela?
Madame Lansbury answers all questions pertaining to mysteries and devilish plots afoot!

Never too many asks I think. Thats why "why" is a great word in the english language.
But I take your point.
Unless there is just a general thread called "Ask a question of any poster of your choosing."
Any poster can ask a question directly of any other poster on the forum. The poster who is asked the question can choose to answer or not. But, if you fail to answer, the poster who posed the question gets another chance to ask another poster a question.
Now. Should a poster choose to answer that question then they have the privilege of asking the next question to a poster of their choosing.
And so it goes.
Does that make sense? Does that sound stupid? Does it sound like a confused mess?
Honest answers appreciated.

ok. sounds like a good idea.

Sorry to read the date didn't happen. I was looking forward to a positive post about your day!

To do something like that and make an arrangement and not turn up so sucks! People like that are not worth knowing, and best not be around a person like that anyway!

For any further dates, I would also recommend a confirmation 24 or 12 hours before. Maybe it was a ploy by the Dating site or even the coffee shop - to drum up business.

Anyway, at least you are out there trying to work towards a relationship etc - just a numbers game and if you are going to be on a dating site, you should really be stating your interests and what you are looking for :)

Well that's very a generous attitude but I like hanging out in this thread - unless you object...??? (You can of course ask me Dear Mooseface anytime... If there are any controversial questions Angela will be on it. Dont worry about that. I'll just feign unavailability due to timezone differences).

you are right that i should really start filling out my profile. making sure i put my interests (tina arena, agatha christie, movies, history, and press gang) as well as what i am looking for (honest, strong, funny, good parts of ykw, similar interests and beliefs).

I just don't like the fact you are stood up on a coffee date. I don't get it. Why make an arrangement and then not turn up? But then again, maybe a random date says it all and unless you are in contact daily with chats on whatever platform ...... anyway .... I am sure you will be able to meet someone soon. Most long term relationships are based on friendships, so maybe the bookclub and clubs with your interests might be the best?

I have no idea really. Haven't been there for almost 15 years!!

Confession - I met my partner on a Telephone date site - Almost before the Internet ones - but they were around! Maybe that was the one of those that witty was talking about.

We chatted for a few weeks before meeting up, on the phone and not online.

It has all been mostly positive since we met, but have hit a few humps in the last few years. Not bad, seeing almost 15 years on, we are still trying to work it out - between us and no kids involved. Friendship gets in the way.
Anyway, all I am trying to say is try to chat in RL as much as possible

yeah, i think club with my interests may be best. plenty of those around. can't rely all on online dating.

Dear Mooseface,

Recently I acquired for myself a blue horn backed snow duck. Have you ever heard of such an animal before? If so, how does one go about looking after such a creature?

From reepbot.

yes, i was thinking about filling out my profile tonight.

the other thing is that i have read so many conflicting views on how much interaction you are meant to have before a date. all so confusing.
I don't mean procrastinating type interaction and find out every single thing about them type of information - just a bit of friendly good humoured get to know you interaction. So you know whether you actually could have something to talk about if you meet. And then if you might - meet in person because that is different again than emails/message boards etc even if you spark in writing. Actual relationships happen (mainly) in real time and eyeball to eyeball.

As you will have noticed, Angela had that one reassigned.
