Do you breed the Flies?

I have a scarey vision of a Maggot Farm LOL

Lake Jindabune is just so Beautiful! I have spent many a Ski Season passing through there and also staying in Jindabyne (many years ago)
They are artificial hools. You tie feathers and various synthetic attractants and colours around a hook to resemble a natural bait.
Its a craftsmenship which I am barely adequate at.
Thats why I often resort to the mudeye.

time is waiting
clocks are painting
life stands still
bending to your will.

people of the nation
sit huddled in anticipation
a million eyes each filled with a story
thinking hurt, but wishing for glory.

you stop and look out at all the faces
wanting to be loved, to be in their goood graces.
with one final breath you make your decision
knowing that there will be no revision.

your judgement has been for all to see
any arguments now assigned to history.
you know in your heart that you made the right choice
as you and your family sit down to watch 'the voice'.

So then, do you breed the mudeye? Or buy them? Are they real and fresh?

I just remember collecting bait, was the way to fish, on the River - go get that first and bring it on!

PS Canned Corn Kernels do NOT work - But the Corn Chips brought the Birds to my Yard ;)

LOL

I would actually be good at that. I can do Macrame and am good with my hands at detailed weaving! I could even try to breed real live flies - maybe not!

Maybe that would be a fun thing to venture into, for a few bucks! Of course they would have to soak it in the attractants later, maybe if I got the scent right, it could be bottled? Thinking not a huge market for that :(

Live mudeyes are the best bait.
You forage for them by the lakeside. Just below the shore line in barely submerged weeds and rock crevices.
Or the less purist option of buying what is basically a dozen (alive) bugs for 15 bucks from the servo.
But like most things from servos, they are rarely fresh.
And alive might be a generous description.

mooseface struts in her dancing shoes
life so easy, no more blues.
birds are singing, sun is out.
all she wants to do is scream and shout.

her mouth says truth, but her eyes say lying
but you just been addicted to that hope she been supplying
to see that she always had you fooled.
probably not the first time you ever been schooled.

Stop flirting with me hools.
Those macrame days are over for me . LOL

LOL - No Flirting from here - just pondering on the usefulness, of a creative flair that I may have, and why I learnt that skill and if it can be used to help the world!!!!!!!!!!!!
