For what it's worth: I know people don't like being corrected in spelling, and I don't do it often because of that. I don't entirely understand it though because I would much rather know if I was using a word incorrectly so that I can use it correctly/use the correct word in future. I know not everyone will agree. But I just want to clarify my position on this!!
(And I am studying language, so.... I am probably always going to be interested in words, semantics, spelling and grammar. It's nothing personal against anyone else. I am just naturally interested in words).
