11- THE BILL
The fine officers of Sun Hill police station.
'The Bill' is a fine show. Not quite part of my top ten, but good enough to be in my top 11, and I think that is a pretty fair effort in my humble opinion. I just like the show because it just shows us, the audience sitting at home, good solid police work. No fireworks or complicated storylines, just simple stories executed well by reliable actors. That's what I like to see, not any of this fancy stuff with all the fancy whatchamacallits. 'The Bill' knew what it was doing and it did it without any sort of fuss or bother.
So watch 'The Bill' or don't watch it as it is entirely up to you. Whatever. Btw, I love that word 'whatever'. Such a great word full of contempt and pure cynicism that touches the soul. I think it is good to be cynical sometimes as being over optimistic to me is just a recipe for disaster. I always think bad stuff is going to happen. Every day i think i might die or be blind in one eye. I often think about what it would be like to lose a body part and how i would cope with all that. So i guess what i'm trying to say is that i am normally a pessimist, but i do have times when i am an optimist (tina arena, discussion earlier) so i guess it is not all sad.
