I guess as you said - names are funny things. I am minding a very annoying cat named Wally. Plus Wally always makes me think of where's Wally. Or don't be a wally. And Blake sounds like one of those flakey American names (sorry Americans, my prejudice is showing). But each to their own!

I picked Wally because of the where's wally too!

What is wrong with American names?

Interesting choices. Since I have been cursed with a rogue y in my own name, I could never adhere to that spelling of Linda. I should have known to exclude her from the list as well.

My partner actually likes the name Wally for a boy, I think it's more of a pet name at best personally.

Yes. It suits this cat wonderfully. It doesn't seem like a 'serious' same for a human to me. You would expect them to grow up as a bit of a wally! Jessy, are you a jessyca or someone like that?

Yeah as if you can take a human seriously with that name. I guess there's Wally Lewis, that's about it.

And yes, similar to that. My mother is not a great speller and by her own admission was naive when I was born as she was quite young, so didn't really think long term. She says I can change the spelling of my name if I like but as if I can be bothered to do that. All my siblings have correctly spelt names - they don't know my pain!

Wally for some reason just felt right to me. Don't know why.
