What do you love studying about Germany?

I found out in my uni studies, in the area of philosophy, that I had a knack for logical thinking. that i'm sure is surprising for many to you.

I don't especially study Germany - although as we all know it's history is a bit fascinating. I like studying the language because it is so similar but so different to English and I just find it fascinating to unlock the cryptic clues in how they are related to each other. Plus language is just generally quite interesting I find. Semantics. Nuances. Meanings.

Yes well google translate is useful but there is a little bit more to it than using google translate to form phrases and indeed whole sentances that are actually grammatically correct.
 
Had a boyfriend who lived in Switzerland - He would write me letters - like 3 pages - in German/Swiss ...... I still wonder if I have them, in my Journals to type in and see what he was really saying .......
 
I belong to a facebook group that is Dutch in origin ... the translations i get from facebook are at times hilarious and make me wonder what they're all smoking
Im always glad I am not ESL because trying to explain English to friends who are mostly ends in frustration

Yes language can be very interesting. How long will it take to do the post grad stuff?

I honesty don't know. I always thought I presented on this forum as a kind of poster who didn't need or want other posters being my minions. There are some people who like me, some who dislike me, and some who don't even give me a second thought. But whatever their feelings or thoughts in regards to my posts here I have never thought that I had any followers here. The posters here are a very smart bunch of people who can think for themselves.

I disagree with the last comment given recent tantys, but I agree with the rest. I can't possibly see why anyone would think you have "minions"
