Hey Reepy, do you reckon that CS2 really had a bet with Wanter? I really can't see a money bet would stop him from hanging around and depositing his stuff!

I, personally don't celebrate Oz day. In my thoughts it all saddens me. I KNOW I KNOW- THIS COUNTRY IS BETTER OFF ETC ETC ETC. I love watching any show about Aboriginal History there is!
Here in WA, they let of Millions of $$$$$ of fireworks - I am scarred by Fireworks now, (after recent fires and stories of) and what a waste of MONEY and well, maybe they are trying to communicate to outta space, by doing this

I watched a Skyworks on Oz day many years ago, and I remember getting hit by the fall out!!!!! Never Again!
Will be working a short 3 Hour Shift, whilst watching cars roll up - doing burnouts, with flags strewn all over them, pissed folks taking on the indigenous local folks and visa versa
What is that all about? Sad. Suppose when you have a ex Mission close by, you sort of understand, but will never fully.

Which lettuce are you?
Cos. The cos always has an excuse. Why are you late? Cos the bus didn't turn up. Why are you a moron? Cos they didn't fully fund Gonski. What is Gonski? I don't know cos they didn't fund it fully. A slippery character who is not unknown to use aliases, particularly romaine.
Iceberg. The iceberg is common to the point of being bland. But don't let the tip of the lettuce deceive you, the iceberg really is bland right to the heart. Often set to one side, any interaction with an iceberg will leave you feeling strangely unsatisfied. Nearly all workplaces will have some icebergs hanging around being bland.
Little gem. Most good workplaces have a little gem. They are the super calm, super efficient, ego-less angels who actually keep the whole place running. Adept at steering colleagues through imbecilic rules and around the small-minded pedants who try to impose them, the little gem is the essential go to.
Radicchio. Strike-oriented, but lacking any strength or depth. Requires careful handling and likely to wilt at the first sign of any heat.
Round. A jolly avuncular type. Inoffensive and perfectly acceptable company in the lunch room. An antidote to some of the bitter and sour varieties found in many workplaces.
Kale. Ah young Kale! They see themselves very much in the vanguard of fashion and taste. Astonishingly, some of the more insecure types in the office (Kale never ventures out into the yard for fear of ridicule and rejection) like to be seen hanging out with Kale. Sadly, someone is going to have to tell them, that despite being an HR and Marketing favourite, Kale lacks any substance. But that could be the attraction in the first place.
Lolo rosso. The office Lothario. Seemingly everyone has some history with Lolo, or so they claim. However LOL is probably the most appropriate response. Any who get too close to see beyond the red frizziness and discover Lolo has no heart.
Mesclun. A totally mixed-up baby. They really don't know who they are, but rely on babyish sweet charm to get by.
Rocket. Woe betide anyone who gets in the salad shaker with this temperamental beast. Sadly rocket is all too common a site around workplaces, and can cause untold damage to anyone who chokes on its sharp offerings.

Haha. Where did you see CS2 had a deal?! I totally agree that it is definitely better the last few days. It was getting Really Very Weird and Very Unpleasant. Yes very much an Aussie. I was in fact thinking about it this year. (I don't think I paid much attention last year).
There is an 'Australian Bar' here (I think it's actually run by Germans.. or Brits .. or at least non-Australians. They serve ostrich for heaven's sake!!) and I keep meaning to see whether they have anything going on....

I am not really sure if he did or not. But as I posted in the other thread, witty would probably be the worst type of poster here to make that kind of bet with as he has no real attachment to these posters here, or the forums. If he wanted to he could go months without posting on here.
Yes, it does seem a bit more comfortable with witty trying to fight everyone.

witty is probably building his pie maker. he plans to rule the world by turning everyone into pies. delecious home made pies. but that means there will be no one left to rrun the world as pies can't drive, or do any of the other things that keep this globalized world moving. so witty is stuck on earth alone with billions of uneaten pies. i guess the moral of that story is that pies have feelings too. next time you see a pie don't just ignore it, have a little bit of a chat with them. you might just make their day.

apparently i heard that when people are faced with a potientally dangerous situation they go into a 'fight' mode or a 'flight' mode. i would like to think my instinct to survive would kick in.

i am not too keen on australia day either. i much prefer to treat people as individuals rather than labels. all that nationalism on the day makes me uneasy.
