How rude of him! I've never heard of one refusing to give a lift. Just leaving you to walk home? I seriously doubt it would be company policy to call and yell at you - I hope your dad went off at him!

Yeah, I know right? Who knows, maybe he was having a bad day as I clearly was, but pretty sure calling me up and swearing at me is completely inappropriate. My dad doesn't yell often so you know it's serious when he is, well not that this guy knows that. Still, I hope it gave him some perspective at least.
 
I think most people here can be 'nice'. I don't think anyone is that way 100% of the time though. I know I'm not. Everyone has their moments.

Totally. Most people you encounter in life are nice really, well except for the ones that aren't, but on the whole I feel people are. Some are consistently very kind and thoughtful while others might be more friendly and inclusive, but even those people have their moments and wouldn't be human if they didn't. Some people are seriously just not nice once you get to know them though.

I guess it depends on motivation. Some people just want to belittle and bring down people - when they come from that place to start it's time to avoid them, but I think that's the minority. I can think someone is nice and like them without agreeing with everything they say.
