As I have said before, Agatha Christie is my favourite author ever, and this tv show, 'Agatha Christie's Poirot' comes closest to capturing the spirit of her books more than any other adaptation that i can think of. This wonderful show is such a comfort for me to watch. Plus i love looking at all the different period pieces of the 1930's (the books ranged from about 1916 to about the mid 1970's so they sensibly decided to condense it into a much more manageable time period). Yes i know all the murderers and how the people were killed. But to me it is still thrilling to watch Poirot hunt down the killer using his 'little grey cells', and I also love his face when he solves it. When, after puzzling for days and days over who did the murder his eyes suddenly spark to life and he knows that he has solved it. That gives me goosebumps.

I first came across Hercule Poirot when I was in year 9. From what I remember my class had to do a report from a book in the library. So I recall researching and looking for a book when I came across something titled 'The ABC Murders'. Intrigued by the title and enchanted by the musty old smell of the book I picked it up and started to read it. At first I read a word, then another word, then a sentence, then a paragraph, then a page, then another page, then a chapter, then another chapter, and then before I knew it Hercule Poirot had entered my brain and made its home in me forever. The tv show, while not being as good as the books, is still excellent viewing with some first rate acting and cracking mysteries. So give it a chance please!

Yes!!!! I got Poirot!

Well you all knew this was coming. I mean the Lynda Day avatar kind of gave it away. Along with my signature and custom title. But this list wasn't really meant to be a shock, it was not meant to surprise you or anything like that. It was just a list in which i could write why i enjoyed the shows so much as well as musing on the important things like love and death. So 'Press Gang' is my number one show and always will be. I love it with all my heart and soul. I love the acting, I love the storylines, I love the antagonistic relationship between Spike and Lynda (when i say i like arguing that is what i mean), and I love the writing of Stephen Moffat. He is the greatest ever writer in television in my opinion because of his musical dialogue (well to my ears anyway), and the way he can craft a twist. All that is something I aspire to. But most of all, above all else I think he is the greatest tv writer ever due to his creation of the greatest ever television character of all time in Lynda Day.

Yes, Lynda Day. I think she is just the best. She is such a nononsense take charge person who knows what she wants and is not afraid to get it. Sure there are times when she does appear a bit vulnerable emotionally like we all do from time to time. But she never appears weak or anything like that. She does not ask for or expect any pity. She is a strong and independent individual who through sheer force of her iron will and determination makes the paper somehow work. She does it through numerous staff changes, a hostage crisis, fellow coworkers who are either disrespectful and lazy, and adults who doubt if the who thing will ever work at all. That is truly inspiring to me. And that is why I think she is such a great character.

Top 50 songs? Ohhhhhhhhhhhh. Thinking of writing short stories and posting them here. Or something else.

Do what you like. I was pretending to be mean. It does seem to have worked well in distracting you from I. M. though. I think we all appreciate that
