What will happen to the house?

So, since there wont be a Big Brother AU this year, what will happen to the house? Demolition? Abandoned? (Of course the furniture and stuff will be gone but then what?)

As far as I know the land where the house stands was sold to be used as part of the Coomera Town Centre project... That said unless that project suddenly springs back to life in the near future the house will likely sit empty like it did after Channel 10 was finished with it...

As I said before... The land on which the house sits was sold off to be incorporated in to the Coomera Town Centre project... Highly unlikely Dreamworld will be doing anything else on the property considering the project seems to be moving forward...

@Goon care to shed some light on what the deal was between the developers and Dreamworld/Endemol regarding use of the house/land?

Apologies @Kingston you are absolutely correct. Hmm interesting what will happen.
 
The Westfield project will not progress until the exit 54 on the m1 and foxwell is upgraded, with a change of government that may not happen anytime soon, Dreamworld will keep leasing the area back at a guess.
 
I hope they open it for a while. I rejected the opportunity to visit the House at the start of the year because I was going to audition and get in to make it more special. I'm going back to the Gold Coast in a couple of months so I would love to have that opportunity once again. :)
 
Yes official announcement yesterday, but the plans aren't even complete yet and work isn't due to start for at least a couple of months according to media. Maybe they can dump the house in the middle of the lake/lagoon.
 
If the plans aren't yet complete I can't see anything happening this year - these things take time.

If Celebrity BB is just a mini-series of 4-6 weeks I wonder how much effort they'd put into the house - wouldn't think they'd be any major changes but I'm sure they'd make some tweaks at least, even if it's as little as moving the diary room back downstairs (using the pointless Power Room perhaps).

Yeah but thats IF that happens, it could be a 10 week series, who knows. They could renovate the house for the show to keep up their image

Dreamland hasn't owned the land on which the house sits for some time now... In fact @Goon and I had it out a few times in the lead up to the relaunch on this very fact... This entire project has been in the works for a number of years now and has essentially been awaiting a green light... Even if plans were awaiting final approval I couldn't see the developers renewing Dreamlands contract...
