i hate them pokies - not over here in the west YET

got enough to battle

got a single family of 8 ferals here, not a pokie issue - much deeper - but same issue

I love this little hidden gem of an Aussie singer. The drumming in this song is unreal as is the vocals of Bec and Ni.Na. Funky and soulful.

I have youtube on all day - i am doing a song a day for fun for my sick sister, and have been doing a musical history with her...
Do this with those you love a lot people, it means much joy. I am giving her youtubes of her funny teen crushes, and all the different music tastes we have enjoyed, from girly boys to punk...this is such fun.
OMG I just remembered Adam Ant was one, we even went to the concert, tomorrow's surprise.

New Order are gods as far as I'm concerned @GROOVER, never ending influence and awesomeness:) I saw them a few times in tiny clubs, no airs and graces, great musicians.
New Order are always relevant, always dancing soul music
No argument from me re New Order ;) but to be honest, Daft Punk are the No.1 supremos as far as DJing goes (well in my eyes lol).

The album "Discovery" is up amongst my all time favourite albums. Absolutely nailed it.

Tiesto is bloody awesome btw.

@kxk I love what you are doing for your sister btw. Good on you for trying to make life a little better for her given her circumstances and there is no better way to do that than bring music into her life. It's a small but big gesture. You get my drift?

Music enriches the heart and soul.

Bless ya.:D

Love your musical tastes @GROOVER, and I love how dancing people move forward - they just can't help it.
Whereas, too many people get stuck in some time warp and only listen to familiar old stuff.

Love Daft Punk too, and Swedish House Mafia especially this one -

The sister music occurred to me one night remembering how much we shared those special experiences discovering bands live, and going nuts at big concerts.
I have a habit of giving people theme songs in my head, Don't You Worry Child, is of course my boy's theme I sing it to him if he has a bad day:)
My sister's is Titanium:)

Wow thanks for saying that. I really do love my music (thanks Dad for that).

My musical taste is so diverse. I have said before that I do draw the line at heavy metal. All that yelling and screaming doesn't cut it for me.

Swedish House Mafia are awesome too.

Every kind of music has a good version, I mean i don't much like country but there are exceptions.
I grew up on headbanging Sabbath I thought my brother would never change - boy was i wrong he turned disco Le Freak, amongst other stuff later, a dancing man.
And funny you should say that about your Dad, same here, my Dad began collecting 78s as a boy, amazing antique collection he had. He adored ABBA.
