What happens to Mr. Clooney when the show is over?

As a first year viewer of BBAU I was wondering what happens to Mr. Clooney when the show is over and/or Mikkayla exits the house? There was a diary room edit on one episode where Mikkayla inquired whether she could officially adopt her 'son' but they didn't air Big Brother's response.

Have they always had a primary caretaker as a condition of their stay or is this the first time that has been asked of the housemates?

What has been the fate of former dog houseguests?
 
The dog last year went to a nice family, I don't remember exactly how they were chosen though but it was done in a public forum, ie, we got to meet her new family.

BB usually asks one HM to put themselves forward as the primary caretaker, but if they're evicted then another HM will take over. Mr Clooney will be there til the end.

I hope whoever adopts Mr Clooney doesn't own and pillow or furniture because dog chews and ruins everything!

Have they actually stated this? With Delilah it seemed very clear cut, I don't remember them actually saying this about Mr Clooney

They're both from the AWL so I was assuming, but maybe they need Mr Clooney to return to them first for retraining. :p
 
Thanks for the replies and info about Delilah last year. Curious, I googled a little and saw this bit in the intro to Mr. Clooney on the big brother website at http://www.bigbrother.com.au/news/8706812/say-hello-to-mr-george-clooney

"But living in the Big Brother House won’t be Mr Clooney’s only claim to fame with the feisty 10-month-old already pegged for another starring role – in the AWLQ’s education program. There Mr Clooney will help teach schoolkids about responsible pet ownership and keeping safe around dogs."

I hope he doesn't feel too abandoned when he no longer shares a bed with Mikkayla.
 
I love having a dog on the show. I just wish they focused on him a bit more. They do, I guess. But in my opinion, having a dog as a pet in the house is a really cool addition. Mr. Clooney was even becoming a plot point when Justynn took a liking to him. That was interesting to me.
 
It seemed like a bit of a con with Delilah last year. Didn't she end up going to live with someone from the Animal Welfare League and it had already been sorted out, BEFORE the dog went into the BB house? Then they let the housemates think they had selected a new owner. I've no doubt that she went to a very good home and will be well looked after, but I think the BB viewers and the public were conned.

If they stay on staples, they might end up eating Mr Clooney.
