What does everyone see in Priya

I don't see anything in Priya anymore except manipulation. I'm off the Priya train :)
People accuse Skye of being 'fake' but just about everything Prizus says or does has an insincere self serving agenda behind it. *shrugs*

Very little that comes out of her mouth is genuine, just about every time she speaks it's either to paint her 'competitors' (including supposed 'friends') in a bad light or to make herself look good. *smh*

Yes I agree @Connoisseur. She is very calculated. Prya fans are screaming now that David is cold because he said he did not mind Nagging Sandra to go. (he did not use the word nagging, that is all me) but if there is anyone cold it is prya. She is all about the game and she appreciates someone who is strategic. She did not make close friendships maybe except with Jason but not sure if she showed how she really is with him as well. What I do not like is that she agrees with everybody. Cat berates Skye and Prya says also some things to Sky about how she treats Leo, but then when cat leaves she agrees again with Sky. I think it is because she is older or maintains an older aura that people do not dare to confront her. This week she will be close with Travis who is HoH like last week she did with David and all the weeks before that. Just do not like some prya fans work with 2 measures. When david is strategic he is cold but when she does it she is the best ever. emo.gif

Another episode gone and I'm still really unsure on what anyone sees in pot plant Priya. She is so boring.

If you still can’t see, just give up, you will never understand. It doesn’t matter that we have tried to show you the reasons we like and appreciate her, you can’t see it, you can’t see it.

Why are you trying so hard, you seem to not be able to let go.

Some HMs I don’t like and they having support that I don’t understand, I never bother asking why they have that support. If I don’t like someone I will try to see what I don’t see in them, for a few days, but then I just leave it to their supporters.

Prya’s fans had to justify liking her like no other HMs have. And WE DID, we patiently, respectfully explained all the reasons we like her for, and still more demands are made to justify our thoughts. I am not trying anymore. (You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink)

Priya only 'paints people in a bad light' who actively try to attack her, and paint her in a bad light. To every action there is a reaction, she's not doing anything abnormal. David. he is so annoying. Ugh. Same shit with Tom. I think Priya always has a valid point when she says things, even when it appears 'strategic'- many times what she says is the truth and not really coming from a hateful argumentative place. Unlike some others.

I loved what Priya did when she, Leo, Travis and Cat were in the sanctuary. When they got their ramen noodles (case of 6)...greedy Leo wanted to claim the 2 remaining ones and Priya said, "wait, I'd like to have a second." Good for her for speaking out. Leo never asked each of he others if it was ok. Strategy like this is what I like about her. Speaking her mind. Was hoping Travis or Cat could have been a little more strategic and asked to share them.

You're kidding right?

For all Skye's faults she's never tried to actively attack Priya and yet last night showed that Priya is sticking a lot of knives into the girl's back.

In fact I found that whole thing rather amusing. Priya spends half the episode running around with glee spreading FALSE rumours about David nominating Ryan and then the other half knifing her own "friend".

It'd be rude to ignore my public

Fair enough Madge. As you were :p

The thing that annoys me about Priya is that she just agrees with EVERYONE! She's using strategy 24/7, so when someone speaks to her she is always using it in a way to get more information about what they're thinking. If anyone bad mouths or gives an opinion about another housemate, she is always the first to Hi-5 them or tell them that she agrees (even if she doesn't) so that they can then continue to see this other person in a bad light.
Then she also sticks up for Skye in a way that she doesn't let others form their own opinion (in the conversation with Tom) I've never seen Priya talk so well about someone - other than Jason - and it seemed like she wasn't letting Tom have his opinion about Skye and wanted to push it down his throat that 'Skye wants to send out a positive message to the world by being arrogant'. If ANY other housemate acted like Skye she would be back chatting and reinforcing that opinion. Also with the comment at the dinner table asking people to respect Skye's opinion, I don't think she'd do that to anyone else so I can see why Ryan snapped at her, it seemed weird coming from Priya.

Man, you summed that up perfectly. I've come to feel exactly the same way about her.

I don't see Priya backstabbing Skye, if she ever had any issues she says it to her face. Example, her concern over her relationship with Leo. Telling Skye that it is possible Leo might be hurt if she gives him false hope regarding a real relationship; in which Skye replied she just wants to 'chill' with him- and not be too serious about it. Which I can understand where they are both coming from. It's a discussion I can see myself having with a close friend, nothing cunning about it. I've seen her stand up for Skye as well- she knows Skye comes from a good place, but is also very young.

About her thinking that David is strategic (which he very much is), that he may have kept Ryan in the red in order to win and take out his competition. I can genuinely see how she would draw that conclusion.

I didn't see Priya backstabbing Skye, either. She was allowing Richard to have his opinion, and pointing out other ways of looking at the same behaviour; she was allowing that Skye had some character aspects that might be flaws, but then again they might be seen in another light. She also pointed out Skye's intention to be positive could be what Richard was suggesting was overconfidence. Having respect for others' opinions and allowing a multitextured understanding of different character aspects is respectful, realistic, and a lot more honest than if she'd said, How dare you! Skye is my friend, and she is flawless!

Priya to Skye last night: "I would never throw you under a bus".

Priya nominated Skye the other week and went to the DR last night and told BB (aka the audience) that Skye is only going for Leo now because of those people's comments. She it was probably true what Skye is doing, but Priya certainly knew what she was doing and was trying to paint Skye in a bad light. That's not even touching on her blatant attempt to white-ant her later in the episode.

I've genuinely tried to like her, because I do think she's intelligent and has a great calm demeanour, but almost everything that came out of her mouth last night was such transparent bullshit--from manipulating David's comments about her condescending to people into an attack on her profession to the utter load about Skye--that it really wore me out. I give her credit for how she's been playing the game, but most of her "work" this episode was so blatantly, smugly disingenuous that none of it translates to me as evidence of her goodness/greatness. But we all see things in different ways and form biases and stick with them, etc., and it's not like she's the worst, so...different strokes, I guess.

Cute sequence of events you've got going there, perhaps Priyanka should TIME TRAVEL back to "THE OTHER WEEK" (probably a MONTH ago) and not "throw her under a bus".

I'm sorry I didn't consult my calendar but obviously I was referring to when she had the power about 3 weeks ago. Regardless of the timestamp though she did it...while they were supposedly good friends, so her "I would never throw you under a bus" was disingenuous IMO given that and her other attempts to make Skye look bad to the audience last night.

Priya nominated almost everybody that week; it's survival, as she said. If we are going to time-travel, Skye nominated Priya early on. So they're even. Even Stevens, to be mature about it. I very much doubt either of them would care.

Obviously 'having your back' means different things to different people, but they're not twelve year old besties.
